Any intention to make BR useful?

Backpack regenerator is easily the worst of the three selections in it's tier. There is no build that would be better off using it over the other traits (pretty sure even quad kit engi would be better off with the other traits). I propose you make backpack regenerator a 10 second buff that is applied when you swap into a kit so even builds utilizing 1 kit have it as an option to boost their sustain by a meaningful amount. It used to work this way and it was a good trait then, the nerf to it was bad and unnerfing it allows it to actually be a trait that could compete with auto proc s.

Side note: for the purpose of trait interactions, can we make photon forge an engineering kit? This would help engineers to take advantage of traits like the newly revamped BR or streamlined kits in order to buff their use of photon forge outside of what's available in the holosmith line (especially when holo is getting kicked in the butt by stab nerfs and damage reductions) this would allow for greater synergy with the engineer profession as a whole and would open up new styles and build possibilities for gameplay.

Please do not make PF a KIT! In current meta, Holo will pick streamlined kits, backpack regenerator and make Holo even more stronger and increase gap between holo and scrapper.

Good point for backpack regenerator. Chaith start with idea of replace specific kit trait effect with weapon swap effect. Same can be there. Honestly, for pvp perfomance , stability swap suit more for backpack regen, but I will be ok with 1140heal / 10sec kit swap.

Holo wouldn't take streamlined kits because they already have perma swift and the reveal is more useful with all the mesmers and thieves out there. If you go backpack regen you forgo the auto proc (pretty sure most builds would still use the proc until damage gets nerfed or the passive gets removed entirely). There wouldn't be any huge buffs to forge from making it a kit besides allowing use of traits like backpack regen in builds that don't take other kits.

Another way to make Backpack Regenerator useful, is to give it a condition clear as well as the healing buff every 5 seconds. So lets say the buff does this: Heals for 1562 hp over the course of 10 seconds, much like warrior's Adrenal health, and this happens upon swapping into kit. As well, it clears 1 condition, and the ICD would be 5 seconds. This way, you couldn't super stack it and gain like 4 stacks of this heal, which would be OP as frizzle, and mass spam condi clear. It would also open up some paths to some bruiser builds for core and scrapper engi as well.

I probably forgot to mention the heal wouldn't stack. It would reamin the small healing that it is but now it would be applied for 10 seconds after equipping a kit. Equipping another one would just reset the time to 10s.

The condi clear is a cool idea but if combined with inventions it'd be too powerful.
