Many of you will not know but..this is the guy who :

1) Made ele great in GW12) Buffed the hell out of d/d few months after launch to give eles a competitive spec for pvp/wvw seen as scepter/focus was in strong decline3) Gave us Stone earth to deal with thieves when they were at their strongest in 2013 (urgh) and diamond skin to deal with dhuumdumb in 2014 with which we kept necros at bay for years...for the sanity of this ungrateful community who now cries blood tears to get necro nerfed4) Reverted the planned changes for ele during the June 2015 patch..if not for him now Elemental attunement would be a major trait and not a minor....( god....)

Unfortunately he left before HoT :-( ...ele has not been the same without him...wherever you are if you read this Jon, do know that my ele will always love you :-(

Who is the ele dev now? I have no ideal and i not seen them post on these form (last dev. post here was in 2017).

And you are right...so it's still Karl cause he was the guy who introduced us to both weaver and tempest (LUL). He does guards too.

Wasn't Izzy responsable for all balance in GW1?In GW1 eles were great pvpwise, in pve (hard mode) they were useless due to higher armor on foes, unless playing healing.

But yeah, with Jon Peters this game was a notch above what it is now in terms of balance, still would like to see Izzy on charge of balance.Izzy didn't care about tears, he nerfed what was op, even to the ground if needed (smiter's boon) and buffed useless stuff, balance patches were more frequent too.
