Thats what im using for some time. Its fun to play (not 3kit-core fun but what is?) and has some dmg mitigation via blocks/double S which allows for 1vx. Lots of cc, leaps and blasts (sadly only for waterfields if solo) and superspeed on demand. It struggles against condipressure however so you have to avoid application in the first place and you can be kited since you lack ranged options.Not an optimal build by any means but i like the way it plays.

He Schloumou, we already played together a bit in WvW on EB, Zonk Alk ingame :)Nice build, quite different from mine, what I really like! Love the variety of possible builds that Engineer has. Especially some of the Gadgets that I think are really understimated (Slick shoes, Throw mine, even PBR).So just my question: how do you go up against P/P thiefs and against rangers without any ranged damage Option? I know you could just stustain them and walk to security, but how do you avoid getting kited?

Heya,lots of them dont cancel their Unload/Rapidfire into Magnetic Shield, burst themselves and you can try to follow up with cc and burst. Lightbeam from stealth into pull+burst is your friend too. In general i try to make use of superspeed, gapclosers and pull, but as i said its a downside of this build and if you encounter someone decent, you have to play the terrain.

I wouldn't say a must. You have a lot of gap closers available (e.g. with traited rocket boots you cover in ~3s a range of 2000 per cast (1200 rocket + 800 superspeed) and the offhand shield skills are quite awesome, so if built up right you can surely do very well without a rifle in WvW roaming. It makes it just easier against mobile and shadowstepping/porting enemies.

I use 3 variants when roaming. I didn't select gear on those but I use Marauder Gear with Leadership or Traveler runes. You can mix some Toughness in if you want.

One uses Tools/Alchemy/Holosmith http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vdAQFAUnUUB1UhFJDubBcJjlKDb8DEBaP9ZwP4IUMZEAKPAI use this because I love Static Discharge. Might be the trait I like the most. Along with Crystal Configuration : Eclipse. It has some sustained damage and a lot of burst damage, condition cleanse from Transmute - Elixir Gun and quite good combos.

I like Grenade Barrage and Grenade #2 and #4 so I use Nade kit but you can use something like Spectrum Shield or some kind of defensive skill.

Can keep up permanent boons like Fury, 10 Might at least, Regen and Protection. Might be the best build for Holosmith PvP/WvW at the moment, but I find it kinda boring.You can swap Thumper Turret for Rocket Boots, don't forget to trait Mecha Legs if you're not using Thumper Turret. I also use the Iron Blooded variant because the damage reduction feels awesome.
