Tomb of Primeval Kings Mastery Point

Would a dev mind releasing some sort of video of the intended way to reach this thing?There's a method going around where you basically go out of bounds and glide around an invisible wall but i'm curious to know how you're actually supposed to do it.

Ive not been able to reach it myself, but ive come so close. A superspringer can jump up the pillar and stand on tiny ledges there. But i wonder if theres a sand portal somewhere. Many seemingly unreachable ones are hidden behind sand portals.

I eventually got it by using the almighty TP to a friend, lol. But before that, I tried circling behind the tomb on a ledge in the north border of the map (another MP there, easy to get) and it looked like a superspringer might be able to get on top of the tomb, and drop down from the hole in the roof right on the MP. I didn't have the springer ability upgrade at the time though, so I never figured out if it works or not.

you can jump on the left side onto that pillar on the wall. then jump with the raptor to the first pillar in the room and then onto the second one.very tricky.

Don't bother trying this you only end up getting stopped by an invisible wall...

On the side with the pillar without mastery you can jump on the snake, then from the snake hood to a pillar into the mountain, then switch to raptor and jump to the pillar without mastery point. Only to see that said pillar is placed lower than the other...

After reaching the mastery with an unorthodox method (tp to friend), I've come to the conclusion that it's not solvable as a jumping puzzle without glitches. Unless you are suppose to reach it with either Jackal portal or the hidden mount.

It is solvable, but the issue is the only mount that can account for that increase in height is a griffon, and most people still don't have it.

Hiding a MP behing a 250g "secret" mount. Rude.

Pretty sure they stated in the AMA that this MP was intended for players with the griffon.

They did indeed state it was intended for the griffon, which I thought was painfully obvious.

It's obvious it was for the griffon, however the "exploit" back path is so obvious I can't help but think it was also intended. Once I couldn't get it from inside the building, I knew I had to get it from outside, and it was basically a straight shot to the MP.

I likely won't have the griffon for 6 months or longer; I used the map-break method.

I am curious about @Stalkingwolf.6035's method.

AND I have the Griffon and I tried jumping on the damn snake ... I just dont get it :3

You dont need that mastery point to finish any of your ability lines, including Griffon;I just maxed all mine and I have points left over.

Having said that, if you cant get to it and its really bothering you, get a Mesmer to port it for you. Ive ported probaby 50 people myself. Since this MP has become more and more common knowledge, I have seen more Mesmers advetising it, including in the LFG; you can find one eventually :)

Unless there have been new invisible walls put up, I was able to get it two weeks ago by using my Springer and Raptor to move up the front side of the temple, then I circled around the rocks and sand dunes on top until I came to the hole in the roof and was able to glide down to the MP. Have they blocked this method now?

With the griffon, I got up on the snake statue to the left of the entrance, then flew to the right onto another statue (not a snake, I don't remember what it is, but you can land on it), and from there to the nearest pillar, and from there to the mastery point pillar.

I made this post a few days after release before the griffon was common knowledge.The answer is the gryphon.Please stop posting in this thread.

just so you know, ya don't "need" this mastery point to max out all the pof mastery tracks.Between the ones you get from the story, and the various spread across the map, and the ones you get for certain kills. there are way more points to collect than you need.

As for getting this particular point. I've tried it with a combo of springer and raptor, but you lose to much high in that last jump to the pillar. Only the Gryphon can get you that lil bit of lift you need. As for how you get up that second, slightly lower pillar. There are several ways, using springer with mastery 3 to get the extra high you need.

There are 2 way to reach it either by braked out the map and goung from the roof of the tomb or by jumping with the bunny up the snake's head next to the pilar and then using the griffon.

While I used the griffon to get it, there was another route my buddy showed me that actually involved only Springer and Raptor (and gliding) going deeper into the Tomb.

Clearly not an intended route, but it works.

Took me a few tries and some exploration, but I got it without a griffon. Jump on the other cobra statue, glide to the next room while hugging the right wall, and you end up on a ledge from where you can jump to the roof of the palace. And then you can simply drop down to the mastery.

But I don't think that it was the intended route, because there were invisible walls, plus I got stuck outside of the map while exploring the other side of the palace. Which is odd, because that route was easier to figure out than some of the jumping puzzles (and it seemed like the obvious way to get to it). If we're not meant to go there, it shouldn't be so easily accessible..
