Escorting funeral procession

To unlock the Scourges spec torch, one of the events is at the necropolis and is something about escorting a funeral procession. I have walked the casket up the stairs several times, but with no event marker or really ant indication if I'm doing the right thing or not, I have no clue how to unlock this. Has anyone done it? If so, where does it start?

Dude i have no idea man. Been trying to figure ot out and asking on map chat but no luck

Figured it out. Got to talk to the receiving guy by the statue to proc the event.

Are you sure? Been looking at the Receiving Attendant for about 30 mins to a hour and still can't speak to him.

100% sure. What I am not sure on, is what enabled me to speak to him.

Well thats one step forward i guess. Im at the receiving attendant but i dont have the option to talk to him.

I managed to talk to him when I got a popup that said the funeral escort was starting, not sure how often it happens though.

yeah I saw the receiving attendant yell for a funeral in coming and I went to the event however I got distracted by a champion event and I completely missed the funeral procession and now I'm wondering how to start that event FML

Can confirm, at first I was like are you sure it's this weird half naked dude but after a while he suddenly becomes interactible. If you've seen guys leading a coffin around that are giving speeches that happens after the event is completed and I think you have to wait for that whole procession to finish before you can start a new one.

From the title I thought this was a QQ topic. It sounds like PoF has some really interesting quests!

I mean you have a heart quest to teach lazy nobles how to do chores, one of which involves doing laundry by burning dirty clothes.

Because there isn't much info yet on the quests in PoF, I figure asking the question then solving the mystery would be good for other people that are having trouble figuring it out as well. Given it's a necro related quest, I thought I'd keep this open here and hope others do the same.

So i never did figure out what triggers the funeral but i did run into one fineral event and was able to get the rune recipe.

I stood there for 1 hour and did not get any event to trigger :(

Did you stand next to the NPC and wait for dialogue box to pop up? You have to talk to the npc to start it

Yeah, last night I had the option to talk to him and I pressed "Show Me". Afterwards nothing happened, no event started. Bunch of Nobles and Villagers are moving caskets up the stairs, but no event triggered. Can't even talk to the NPC now.

Where does this event start? / found it but now to make it start, looking at this dude for going on 30 minutes

When I learn the conditions I'll edit the post to include them.

I managed to trigger the event. Unsure if the main trigger for the event was this, but me and 2 other Scourges waited for the main event to fail (The one where Balthazar's forces are attacking the Necropolis). Approximately 10-15 minutes after, I was able to interact with the Attendant and the event started below the "Highlands" in the "Forum Highlands". Hope this helps and that this is in fact the trigger!

All I need to get now is Pillaged Offering which seems to be harder than this..

Kitty now got the event done. It was triggered after killing a High Judge Ejele in Court of the Dead. The pop-up text about funeral appeared and the event itself was started by talking to the Attendant. The one picture I saw of the actual dialog option was of the guy basically unclothed, and when I go I see the attendant in various forms of dress. I'm wondering if how much clothing (thus the proc of the event) is tied to failing various events on the map and thus the reason we are not seeing this event more is because its actually one of those crap designed "only on event failures" that the devs have used before so we are just BORKED!

Just takes long to spawn, we used a multimap squad and waited for 2 hours it then spawned in 1 map so its a patience game i guess

No, I don't think that's the case. I camped that spot for around 3 hours the other day and nothing.Before, during and after the Judge event. All times of (in game) the day: dawn, day, dusk, night.I think you were just lucky that someone completed a pre-event.It has to be linked to some other requirement.

So no one knows the requirements to get this started yet. I keep going back there and doing events around the area to see if I can trigger it but still nothing :(
