Loboling.5293
During the beginning of Path of Fire, Canach is talking about a big bet he put down on you defeating Balthazar. In the end, Balthazar kills you, but then you come back and take him out. What happened to that bet? Is Canach super rich now, since no one really knows that you died? I'm really curious if there is any easter egg about this later I'm forgetting. Seems like it might be nice to find out Canach bought himself an airship for next expansion, and part of your mastery system is how you use the ship. Deployment abilities, ion cannon onto areas to help take out trash, maybe it can even reduce gravity in an area. (giving the bunny jump an absurd height), etc. Seems like a silly plot point, but I was thinking of how cool this could all be, and well. What do you all think? ;P
Dante.1763
He doubles down on the bet, in LW4 so basically all his money is tied up.

The fact they see you walking around, not undead, is probably a pretty convincing argument for ol' Canach.

Trise.2865
If the bet was whether or not Balthazar would kill you, then Canach lost. Balth did kill you. But the bet was whether or not you'd defeat Balth, which you did. Whether or not you died in the process is irrelevant. The question is how much money would Canach have to bet? Even at 1000-1, if all he had to hand was a few silvers, then that's only a couple hundred gold. A large bounty, but hardly continent-buying wealth.
