Real world injuries as a result of No Down week

What's another thread about this event eh? Let's try and keep it humorous :)

Friday night into Saturday morning I logged too many hours and got carpal tunnel.

Midday Saturday at one point in an innocent enough looking fight, I started laughing so hard that I inhaled spit. I could've died but instead my chest hurt and I couldn't speak for 20 minutes!

Last night, I was mashing buttons so hard I broke the nail on my left index finger, it was a nice nail too, a grade A puppy butt scratching nail, so I and the puppies are kinda bummed at its demise.

So, what are your injuries?

I got jumped by a gank squad while my roommate was watching behind me and I swiveled around in my chair with one arm outstretched to say "look at this BS."

And then I accidentally slapped him in the neck.

I once tried to get gold in one of the griffon races (and eventually got it), but the constant down diving with space for like 50-100 tries made my left thumb hurt for like 2 months!

I almost gained RSI opening lootboxes. Thankfully 1998 called Anet to tell how to put an "open all" function on them phew.

Got a salty whisper one time to drink nail polish, so i did... i peed out purple.. :(

This event bored me enough on Sunday night that I went afk to empty the dishwasher. I cut my thumb badly on a blender attachment and it had not stopped bleeding after 1.5 hours, so off we go to the ER. As it turns out, not only did I need several stitches, I also broke my thumb.

The ER was more fun than wvw that night. ;)

It didnt stop bleeding because you ate too much veggie pizza

No joke I did so much WvW this week, I triggered the arthritis in my shoulder. Way too much pain to play now.

I was playing in my boxer-briefs on a hot night and my cat jumped into my lap and started baking bread on my bare thigh. He is about due for a claw trim.

I haven’t been injured due to this event but I got tears laughing at all these comments! ?

vision would be my injury. I decided to really try out wvw for the first time this week. My wvw experience before this week would be max boostered gift of battle reward track for legendaries. Id max my reward track to get the gift and haul azz out of there so fast. This week I decided to go in and join a squad and comms and really play it. Well here we are on Thursday and about 7 reward tracks later my vision is blurred from exhausted eyes. Cant wait for reset to run through diamond again and am also unlocking triumphant track so I can get to easy stat pickable exotics to try out different clases in wvw. I dont know if I like the no downeed state or not really because before a down would almost always be a death anyway, I do find I get lesss tags though now because with down at least I have a longer window to tag someone elses kill.

I agree... for many with arthritis and other hand disabilities, this 'no down' week is more than brutal, it's injurious.

I dislocated my shoulder while patting myself on the back for winning a 1 v 3 fight.

Good reads guys, thanks for making the week a little more humorous and to those with actual injuries, rest up, heal and feel better.

The no downed state event made me tap dodge button harder and faster every time i got hit... And, not an injury, I have resorted to trimming my nails short on two of my right hand fingers just for this game, buttons mashing has cost me a few broken nails and pain before -.-

I was able to gain 150 levels and some RSI during the week. I played a lot of WvW for the WXP bonus and got my XP boosters running also.

I hurt my face on my keyboard.

EDIT: Not joking, I actually did. I was laughing so hard all the time and facedesking like a boss. My #3 button was also most definitely harmed during the making of these motion pictures.
