What about No Stonemist week?

Think about it. Removing stonemist would remove all the siegecamping and create a massive open field in the middle of EB where zergs and roamers can fight.

There would be no super SM advantage with ACs and such.

I think this would make for a really good week long event that lot of people would love. Except the ones that spend their days trebbing to and from SM.

Its just an event, if it could be fun it might be worth for someone to spend 1 hour to do something like making mechanic that makes all the wall and gate pieces disappear. You dont even have to remove the lord, you just make it invuln.

It doesnt have to be flat openfield if its really that big of a job. And it has multiple iterations how to make it. Just saying it would be interesting to try out EB without SM as an objective.

irrelevant - getting directly into defeated mode was there since launch - on the other hand no one reall can say how quite a big chunk of things is implemented, including but not limited to scoring, territory control, doly escorts....

a New EB WvW Map would be nice.. maybe a Jungle Themed one (since we got a desert for HoT, it would be fitting to get a Jungle for PoF).. that does not have a Stone Mist.. and does not suck. That way any random week could be a no-stonemist week.

No-downed- state already existed for lvl 1-4. You acquire that at lvl 5 I think. All they needed to do was activate that with a debuff while on wvw maps.

The hidden stuff wouldn't just be the SMC cap/defend events. It would be all the other stuff tied to it like yak escorts. Also wall/gate repairs, static siege building sites, the capture ring and so on. You cannot just go into some editor and click on stuff and press delete without really messing stuff up.

Yet groups tend to look for chokes and structures to fight around, not always open field. The only groups standing in the middle will be the self proclaimed "zerg busters"(if they can get on the map) or the blobs that outnumber everyone else, so good luck baiting regular groups and roamers into the open for your brawls, everyone will mostly be busy ppting your towers as usual.

I've suggested this time and time again. Just remove the ability to UPGRADE Stonemist. Will take care of all the problems, no cannons and mortars and whatever. And zergs will make sure it is open 24/7. And don't make this an event, just make it permanent, for everyone's sake.

When you enter EB at reset Stonemist is neutral, and dolyak movements etc work fine then. If the lord simply has the RI buff for the whole week SM will remain neutral. Players will eventually destroy all the walls and gates, and there's still the chokes and corridors for people to play around if they prefer.
