[WVW][Mesmer][Staff] Build

Hey, I have been playing Elementalist for almost 5 years now. With many years of WvW experience behind me. This is the current build I am using for Guild Zerg fights. This is out performing the old Staff Backline damage builds in many ways. With proper weaving and practice you can be the breaking point between a win and a loss.

Staff Weaver Pros:

• High sustained Burst
• High Sustained CC
• Very high mobility

Staff Weaver Cons:

• Squishy
• Reliant on mobility cooldowns
• High APM and extensive knowledge of spell weaves

What you provide and how to do it.

Staff weaver is one of the highest AoE damage builds right next to scourge. Your main job is to look for stacks of enemies and proper openings for Meteor Showers. With proper spell weaves you not only offer amazing condition cleanse but CC and insane pressure to enemy zerg front and midlines.

Disclaimer: Staff weaver is one of the hardest classes to properly manage and play well. learn what each weave does and when to use it and you will be a vital spot to any group in WvW.

Properly weaving involves cycling through proper abilities as the fight progresses. you main rotation would look like this.

Start in Fire/Air:

Cast Static FieldCast Windborne SpeedCast Plasma blast.Cast Lava font

Weave to Earth-Fire

Cast Pyroclastic BlastCast Eruption

Weave to Earth-Water

Cast Ice SpikeCast Lahar

Weave to Air-Water

Cast Healing RainCast Frozen GroundCast Monsoon (Aim through your zerg)

This is for Properly activating Weave Self. With practice and speed, this should take 8 Seconds. After activating the secondary Elite of Weave self will open you for your massive damage.

Weave into Fire-Fire. Cast Arcane power, Gain the 10% damage boost and drop Metor Shower on enemy midline. With Lava font and flame burst.

Alternatively if meteor is on CD or there arent enough targets to warrant it. Air-Earth is an excellent weave with the use of Pile Driver for a 6-7k Shot to single targets (And pierce)

In a perfect situation this is the highest damage and CC and Condi cleanse.

No Situation will allow you to do this 100% of the time.

If an opening is found activate Fire-Fire and repeat for maximum damage.

For mobility use Lightening Flash to move in for kills, to position yourself or escape.

Twist of fast for when you are trapped in Condi wells and escaping ganks.

Ether Renewal on cooldown when you have more than 4 condis or an emergency heal is needed.
