Pet Bar Problem

Hi, all. Playing a new Norn ranger. My pet (wolf) does not respond to K button, nor does his pet bar show up on my screen. He attacks my targets, but I have no control over him, otherwise.I tried setting everything to default, reassigning the pet dialogue, restarting the game etc. I played through the tutorial on two different rangers, but no dice. Both expacs are installed. No mods. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

ETA I reinstalled, but no luck. All other buttons seem to work. Just no pet bar and K doesn't function.

What level are you at? You don't get the pet bar until ... IDK, like, level 11 or something? "played through the tutorial" sounds like you are still at, like, level 2 or 3.

The same way that skills on a new character are locked to keep it simple as people learn, the pet bar (and pet panel, and pet selection) are all locked until you get high enough level. So, that could be what is going on here?

You are right. Someone ingame just clued me in to the fact I can't manage my pet until higher levels. I planned to delete this post, but will leave it up as a warning to other noobs.
