Beast Of War Destroy Additional Pylons bugged

Its currently 11:38pm PST with a few days after launch so i expect some bugs. I have scoured the forums for information on this achievement and im at wits end. Currently, I am trying to get the grieving amulet which requires me to basically complete all achievements for act 3 in POF. The acheivement to destroy all the additional pylons appears to be bugged and is blocking my progress. I have done this mission 7 times now by myself and in groups and have yet to unlock the achievement. The mastery icon just stays on till you start the war machine fight and then just vanishes without reward so I am very annoyed and posting here.

Please help :)

Having the same problem. Ran it 3 times now myself and a few times with guild mates. Neither of us are able to get the achievement. Disappears as soon as the fight engages.

Facing the same issue, tried several times and never got the achievement.

On September 22 they released this fix "• Fixed an issue in which Destroy Additional Pylons could be erroneously awarded under certain situations."And now because of that fix the achievement is bugged and cant be earned.Repeated the instance a few times destroying everything and killing all the mobs but didn't got anything, is the last achievement I'm missing from the story and I want to finish soon :(

Yeah, I just did this a little while ago with a group and still no achievement awarded.

I had to do it 3 times yesterday until I got it. What changed it for me was that I didn't use a mount skill to damage the pylons and I got the achievement just fine.

Achievement worked just fine for my group of 3 people. Make sure to kill all enemies around the pylons also

Not using the mounts on the pylons seems to do the job to get your achievment.

You can use the mounts on the initial attack, no problem. I did and got the achievement on my first try.

I still cant get it

I had a lot of trouble getting this achievement, but I just managed it. I didn't use a mount in any combat, and killed the pylons with sohothin (I was going to test with and without sohothin but I got it using sohothin just fine), and I made sure to kill every single thing. Of course as mentioned above it may be a luck of the draw thing. Either way, good luck.

Same here I spent a lot of time today trying not to die and destroying every pylons, I'm 100% sure I destroyed all of them but no achi, very frustrating....I won't try this again until it gets fixed and I suggest you to do the same if you don't want to waste your time gambling on an achi which get awarded randomly -.-

We did it without mount attack, and it worked ( previously we did the same things and the only difference was that some used the mount attack ).Maybe it's only a coincidence, maybe not.

Btw, you will get the achi just before the fight with beast of war ( balthazar speech ).

I tried it twice with my guild mate. My guild mate got it and im not.. on second attempt still same didnt get it. I wont try this until it gets fixed

Update: I tried it last night just by myself and managed to get it. However, it still appears to be an issue with some people.

For those struggling, did you die during your failed attempts?

Same thing happened today, never died nor downed, I didn't even use mount skills as someone before said, STILL NO ACHI! >.<That's quite annoying since it takes a lot of time and it's the last one I need :(

Bump!This wasn't mentioned at all in latest patch notes, and I'm still unable to get the achi :(Please fix it.

I can't believe it, they did so many bug fixes (including silent ones) so I was hoping they included this also....but NO. Tried for the 5th time hoping they fixed it.....they didn't...

I've tried to get this on six different occasions, both in my own instances and in friend's instances.We tried focusing on the same pylon, not hitting them with mounts, hitting them with mounts, not getting downed, doing it alone, on different days, killing all the enemies...Nothing has worked.

It's super frustrating.

Got it yesterday when I finished the story with one of my characters, the achievement is done at the end of the chapter : I killed bosses linked to pylon but I'm not sure it's necessary and some of one were killed by enemies.

still bugged, I killed every single pylon and every single enemy and it just poofed away when I got to Baltazaar. Its been 2 months now Anet, please fix

I got it after 4 tries by not using my Engage skills to attack the pylons, ever. Just myself.

It is still bugged - I just did it - slowly, one by one and my achievement still isn't completed.What's going on - 5 months after last post here this is still bugged...

I just did it, killing everything around the pylons. I used sohothin to damage the pylons then switched to normal skills to finish it off. I accidentally engaged one of the pylons with a mount though, but it still got me the achieve... so I would say just use your normal skills to finish off the pylons, since sohothin doesn't seem to count as damage.
