So why did Anet crash the market?

The introduction of more ease of access to basic crafting materials has caused things to plummet on the tp. Why do this? was it to make crafting easier? perhaps make legendaries not such a grind? Those seem like the obvious answer, but perhaps there's another reason?

    The market is not crashed.
Some items cost Less tha before, but you can still speculate on many others.

Anet randomly stab speculators, and this is good. Prices are high? Be sure someday they are going to drop.

It's inevitable when new content is released that certain markets will drop. More people are playing, getting more loot, and not all of them are interested in using it. Similarly, markets will spike when a new legendary or similarly mat-intensive collection is released. It would be nearly impossible for ANet to prevent this from happening and lots of reasons why they shouldn't try.

Good. The speed of leveling crafting versus leveling adventuring was completely out of sync, especially if you tried to gather the materials yourself instead of sinking gold into the market. About time that it got evened out a bit.
