New WvW player: player model defaulting?

Might sound a little dense but still: my gf and I tried WvW for the first time ever in 2 years of playing.

When we loaded in my charr rev looked like a human rev (in mistward armour) on her screen and her soulbeast looked like a generic human on mine.

Is this normal or can we change this?

Options has standard enemy models. Maybe standard allies models too, pls check.Then in graphics options, there are 2 character model settings: when character detail setting is lowest, the game renders the standard models.

If you see fully rendered armour, then this sounds like a bug of some sort.

I did check these options haha as im experienced with sPvP :)

I wondered if it was a setting in WvW temporally for newbies?

I was so confused. If it happens again tonight I’ll post screenshots. It’s so upsetting not seeing her player model but instead some boring one while roaming :/ cheers for help anyway!

Closing thread. Must have been a weird bug as everything was normal last night.
