Sigil of the night

Does this sigil continuously work in WvW? The moon is always out so to me it seems to be always night, I just never noticed if the extra damage buff is in effect since it doesn't register in attributes to my knowledge.

Can't say, but an easy way to test is to use any of the ascalon catacombs weapons (or eternity). They have a night/day state, which is easy mode for telling when it is.

Thanks. Always thought there should be a notation in your attributes which would say +10 power damage, +10 condi damage and such.

Sylvari glow at night in wvw so there's nothing to confirm on that part.

just checked in WvW . had 2 zerk daggers, put sigil on one and compared by swapping off hand. no damage increase on my axe between them.

The core WvW maps (every map except desert border) follows the day/night cycle. This cycle lasts 2 hours with 45 minutes being night, and 1h15min being counted as day for this particular sigil. Since there is no ingame source to track this, using an ascalonian skin or the sylvari glow will be the easiest way to find out where you are in the cycle. And no, %increases do not show in your hero panel but they still apply.

Day/night food works in wvw, so I imagine the sigil would as well.

Thanks, I have enough ascended weapons that I can carry a spare with the sigil and swap it at night. Now to wait for the ascalon dungeon track to come back up and farm tokens.

25%, 50%, and 75% of that track are all weapon skins. Don't even need the tokens.
