Game Stops Downloading

I'm trying to redownload the game, and by the time I reach 301,426 files it freezes and doesn't want to download anymore. Does anyone know why my game is doing this?

Some players have had success using a VPN to download the last few files.Some have had success changing the Language.

Besides what Inculpatus cedo said, also make sure that your firewall and/or antivirus aren't blocking the downloader.

If you want to know what it's doing, you can use the -log option, which writes to %appdata%/Guild Wars 2/Gw2.log. Let the launcher run for a few minutes stuck, then close it. Generally in these cases it'll say it's failing to connect or download whatever file it's stuck on.

Delete %appdata%/Guild Wars 2/Local.dat and all gw2cache folders under the %temp% folder. Use the following option to launch GW2:-assetsrv 52.22.215.41

... this will cause it to redownload the latest patch information using the primary patch server. If it's still stuck, you will most likely need to use a VPN. This problem is generally caused by either software interfering with GW2's connection, or your ISP.
