So collecting these out of order so I never got he full story. Is this written down in game anywhere (I expect it to never be) or do we have to wait for someone to write it down in the wiki? I always have this problem of finding things that are account wide, one time read items that I can never look at or do again.

@Konig Des Todes.2086 said:I've not really seen any told story to it. It's just a series of fliers for Kookoochoo's acts that get progressively criminal until he was imprisoned.

Which I didn't read because the first several said the exact same thing for me so I discounted the rest thinking it was readable in the end. Feels like its wasted dev time if you can only experience it once.

The first half is the same, as it describes what the object is (a torn flier); while the second half differs and mirrors the new nickname in each flier.

A lot of scavenger hunt achievements are one time experiences, mind you. I wouldn't call that wasted dev time, unless it is treated like a checklist and not a lore scavenger hunt.

Not sure if someone already mentioned it somewhere else, but you can actualy find him in labyrinthine cliffs as untargetable npc. He is inprisoned in cage set into rock wall directly above first lightning pull crystal in dolyak race - you can get there with springer (or if you head with griffon from upper waipoint to north and then little bit to left)

@Randulf.7614 said:Still bugged for me, so trying to find them requires a lot of wall scraping and mouse hovering to get them to appear at all :(

COuld be something they progress each year or in diff festivals as a story

don't look for yellow name plates or torn fliers, look for little tan/white rectangles on rooftops, walls, floors, cliffs, underwater.

It seems like he lost his mind and became mental ill, insulting and raging towards his audience, and even attacked an Asura? Can't remember.. and when the Zephs got attacked he was left behind(?)You can see him in prison, alive.

I hope someone will post his full story of what happened to him, quite sad story! :cold_sweat:

Looking at all the fliers again, it seems the story of Kookoochoo is basically this:

Kookoochoo's old fire breathing tricks ran its last ("a quaggan with a wispy, pathetic puff of smoke issuing form it's mouth"), and his popularity became to fall ("a forlorn quaggan sitting alone on a stage"; "a quaggan looking despondent as he hides under a stage"). Desiring attention, he went to increasingly cheaper and cruder behavior ("a quaggan attempting to call attention to his injured arm to garner sympathy"; "a quaggan that's puffed up and enraged upon a stage as fearful passersby look on"; "a quaggan with a bottle in hand telling off color jokes and insulting audience members"), eventually managing to gather a crowd again ("a quaggan engulfed in flames while the audience looks on and cheers") but it backfired ("a quaggan seemingly spewing vitriol to a shocked audience"). He continued to perform more and more degrading acts ("a quaggan whose actions are obscured by a large black box"; "a quaggan that appears glassy-eyed and confused while a bemused crowd looks on"; "a quaggan rolling in a large pile of dead fish to the delight of a boisterous crowd") until he suddenly went political and commercial ("a quaggan speaking intently on a soapbox adorned with politically-charged posters"; "a quaggan amid slogans that border on the ludicrous as confused citizens look on").

This new direction garnered a select group of followers ("a quaggan on stage with a close-knit group of followers hanging on his every word") and eventually became heated and hostile ("a quaggan looking on as a group of followers intimidate a vocal critic of his"; "a quaggan torn between the attentions of two distinct groups, each carrying signs"). Despite attempts to calm things down, it failed ("a quaggan that's speaking to an audience where most of them have turned away"; "a quaggan surrounded by two groups that are carrying signs supporting opposing ideas"), resulting in him lashing out ("a quaggan beset upon by belligerent supporters and angrily biting an asura's fingers"; "a quaggan and his followers persecuting those defending an asura with bandaged fingers"; "a quaggan foaming at the mouth and attacking his one-time followers"), which turned into being arrested ("a quaggan with iron chains about his wrists and ankles being escorted away by Lionguard") where his followers turned on him ("a quaggan standing before a robed magistrate as three of his former followers testify"). And he was promptly locked away ("a forlorn quaggan sitting behind bars in some unnamed prison").

Version without quoting fliers:

Kookoochoo's old fire breathing tricks ran its last, and his popularity became to fall. Desiring attention, he went to increasingly cheaper and cruder behavior, eventually managing to gather a crowd again but it backfired. He continued to perform more and more degrading acts until he suddenly went political and commercial.

This new direction garnered a select group of followers and eventually became heated and hostile. Despite attempts to calm things down, it failed, resulting in him lashing out, which turned into being arrested where his followers turned on him. And he was promptly locked away.

Just the fliers' important parts, in order:

  • a quaggan amid slogans that border on the ludicrous as confused citizens look on
  • a quaggan on stage with a close-knit group of followers hanging on his every word
  • a quaggan looking on as a group of followers intimidate a vocal critic of his
  • a quaggan torn between the attentions of two distinct groups, each carrying signs
  • a quaggan that's speaking to an audience where most of them have turned away
