Repairing game data

This is odd... My game was fine for a very long time (years, actually) but ever since the Kourna patches I kept getting crashes constantly. The crashing seems to have resolved itself with this most recent patch, but now almost every other time I start the game, I keep getting prompted to repair the data archive. Is anyone else experiencing this?

You should probably repair it if it’s prompting you.

  • Oh, I have been... then I play the game without incident, but then the next day when I try to play again I get prompted to repair again.

Saw this thread and am wondering why repair data archive has started by its self when i tried to launch the game? Anyone else having this going on? I have never crashed or had any problems in the game, is this some kind of maintenance?

Make a new shortcut icon for your guildwars2.exe file and see if the repair starts then. If it does, right click on guildwar2.exe and go to properties; See if you have additional flags like -r after the .exe in the file path.
