Shadowbeast Question For Arenanet

When you fight the shadow beast, he often leans forward, presses his nose into the swamp and yells "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" at you.

What is he doing and why is he doing that?

Because he’s a spooky shadow demon thing...?

The Shadow Behemoth is opening portals to the Underworld to summon minions at that time. Hence why you after have to close the 15 portals it opened (which also makes him invulnerable).

Isn't there a more elegant way to open portals than pressing your nose against the ground and yelling "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"?

No, for most beings it is hard work to open a Portal into the mists and opening 15 at the same time should be pretty exhausting for a non divine entity. minding that it does not seem weird that a gutteral roar is needet

He's smelling the swamp. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH is a happy sound, because for a giant shadowbeast, a whiff of swampgas is like smelling flowers or fresh-baked bread or something.

Yeah, you can kill countless innocents to create a few permanent rifts like Lord Odran, or you can control portal hubs like The Shadow Nexus and open them from within the Mists, or you can be a god and snap your fingers.

But for a being like the Shadow Behemoth, tearing through the fabric of space and time with a yell is pretty damn impressive.
