Suggestions for Labyrinthine Cliffs

Recommended Posts

Here are some suggestions for Labyrinthine Cliffs.

Give the cables holding the kite houses collision so that players can run up them. Bundles of loot could be put on them during the treasure hunt. Maybe turn the kite houses into a jumping puzzle that players have to tag crystals on the way for a charge to open one of the kite houses for a chest. The kites could move around for players to jump from one to another. Offer levels of difficulty/reward based on players choosing not to use gliding or mounts. The JP could be over deep water so players falling hit the water. It's hard not to use gliding and mounts which would make people have to start over when they accidentally glide or mount if they want the top tier reward.

At the dive point during the festival put some forgotten bundles of loot that divers have to aim to get on the way down once a day.

Expand the Labyrinthine Cliffs so that the map connects Mount Maelstrom (via open waterway by the POI Aquabase Terror Seven) and Desert Highlands (PoF players via old dwarf tunnel thru mountain to the cold area). Make a non-festival version of the map available all year around. Place the lounge area high up on the cliffs to the east of the current map and sell a portal scroll to access it.

Airships could come and go on a non-festival version of the map sort of like the Silverwastes. Cycle a fixed number of airships docking across a day/night schedule. An achievement could be done based on players interacting with an NPC on each airship that docks. A couple of possible events is on/off loading cargo or killing pests hiding on the airships.

Those seem like some fun suggestions. Regarding the lounge area suggestion, I'd add that if any other lounges are added to the game, also please add a tome (or other method) to consolidate lounge passes. There have been some other discussions about that, including ideas on how to make a lounge tome usable without losing double-click access for your "default" pass in the tome.

How about double clicking the tome to get default and right click to open the menu to jump to a different lounge.
