I know that it has been a while since the poll was made, but I feel like I should share the results and thanks all the participants. Bandits aren't shown since they have 0%, others mean everything from "pocket raptor", "margonites/abaddon" to "evon gnashblade, black lion trading company or Anet".Scarlet and all her supports earned the first place, before joko and the Inquest.

Notes: Theses stats aren't perfectly representative of the whole community and have been made with the help of 209 players. thanks again.Use them or describe them as you want, everyone have his own interpretation. For me it's essentially due to nostalgia of either gw1 or living season 1.The common alliances like bandits, sons of svanir or flame legion got only a few votes.

Elder Dragons and tiny poll size aside, there is a correlation between what Anet presents as a threat and what peoples "favourite" is. Say what you will about the direness of S1, Scarlet's Watchwork Army and Toxic/Molten Alliances did prove to be a genuine World threat. Same with the Awakened as Joko expanded his attacks into an invasion force. Compare that to the flame legion, svanir and ghosts who are presented as regional nuisances, then the outcome kinda makes sense.

Yup agree, higher the percentage is, more dangerous the threat is. Scarlet is first due to all she has caused: invasion and destruction of lion's arch, awakening of mordremoth... Plus all the energy probes she put all around within Tyria. Dragons are surely a real danger too but we haven't seen much of them apart mordremoth turning sylvaris into servitors and adding vines everywhere.

Not surprising, the Inquest are the top pick out of the "original foes", Son's of Svanir, Bandits (Even including the White Mantle of Caudecus), Flame Legion, Ghosts of Ascalon, Nightmare Court and Inquest. This can be easily explained because the Inquest have been a major foe the longest than any other foe and they are STILL active.

The Flame Legion, the Bandits (plus White Mantle) and the Nightmare Court are probably out of the game by now, they've all been beaten and we haven't seen any evidence that they might re-emerge.The Sons of Svanir and the Ghosts of Ascalon haven't been beaten yet, but they play such a low part in the story that they aren't relevant anymore. If I recall the Sons of Svanir appear in one episode of S3 (A Crack in the Ice) while the Ghosts most recent appearance was in S2 (Rytlock tried to cure the ghosts)

Which leaves with the Inquest as the most long lasting foe that we haven't beaten yet. With A Bug in the System we were introduced to Kudu's daughter. She should make another appearance, hopefully this time we'll beat the Inquest for good!

They don't have any specific goals which aren't shared by asuran society as a whole and their main objective (research & tecknologigal progress) makes them much more "splashable" than let's say the ghosts of ascalon. "Cutting off their head" doesn't help much either since they don't really follow a leader, they follow ideas and the asuran race as a whole doesn't really have a shortage of megalomaniacs with crazy ideas.

Not to mention that they’re not even seen as evil by Asura society as a whole. Individual Asura can, and might, oppose them though.
