Please allow us to have the option of having the engineer kit backpacks

I liked them.Especially with certain things like the flamethrower you really want that to complete the look.I would like the option to toggle them back on for my engineer. Or, failing that, at least let me craft a backpack with a particular style that reflects my playstyle (such as if I play flamethrower a lot).I don't have any backpacks I care about having visible. In fact, I'm not high enough level where that's even an issue yet. For now, the basic engineer backpacks add some nice visuals.

That would be awesome! But as this has already been asked for quite frequently (ofc without ever happening), I doubt that it will happen :/

It would be nice if they could add these back in as backpack skins, since they already have the models. Personally I'm glad my engineer isn't stuck with one every time I'm using a kit, but it would be nice to have the option to use it on characters where it does suit them.

I think the best solution would be for them to make it so that the Engineer backpack you can pick when you create a character transforms with the kits. Then they could give it to all the engineers just in case. Maybe change what you pick in the character creation to be all head pieces.

When they got rid of them, the first thing I did was try to find a back item as close to the Elixir Gun backpack as possible! So yes, I'd like them back. I think having them as separate backpack skins would be my preferred option - especially since, with Scrapper and Holosmith, I use kits less often than I used to.
