Will I regret it?

I haven't really played much over the past year or so and just made a physical damage dps daredevil using a staff.

I'm having fun with the self healing provided and the damage I can do with a strictly solo play style.

As I've been gone a long time would you other thieves say this is something that will just be nerfed and make me perform bad later?

I don't think there will be any nerf some time soon.

Nerfs are random and you should always expect them.
