Gifting HoT and PoF to friend

I would like to purchase HoT and PoF for a friend who only has core GW2. Do I have to do anything special for this? Or can I just buy the two expansions and then email him the registration codes?

Also, does it make a difference if we are in different regions (I am in NA, he is in EU)?

I am uncertain if purchasing NA Serial Keys work for EU accounts. You might consider contacting the CS Team before purchasing.

Otherwise, yes, you merely purchase the Serial Keys (as a bundle or separately), and send them to your friend to register. Just make sure to purchase outside the game.

Oh yes, would be purchasing from the website and not the Gem Store.
