    Armistice Bastion VIP Map

    1. Please add the ability to port to tyrian waypoints just like in mistlock sanctuary (after scrolling down the mouse)
    2. Please add the ability to port straight to wvw waypoints.
    3. Add fractal & raid dung portals
  • How about a bag that blocks materials from being deposited?

Sometimes you want to clear your bags (in an emergency, like in the middle of a meta) but without breaking your neatly-arranged bags, or depositing items that you specifically don't want to deposit when I hit the "deposit all" button.

  • I would love to have an offline version accesible from the Launcher to Fractals and or the "Golem" (Special Force Training Area) for DPS training and all that. Ive been in GW2 for many years since the beginnings and it's a feature that some of us would very much pretiate ...specially for those who, like me, are playing the End-game content. Even including Raids. 0 Rewareds and 0 achievements of course, but a thing like that would be so nice to have.(context: Iv been traveling a lot for my work and work in very "away from civilization" places, so internet access is a big thing for me)

I think both, Fractals and Raids make sense to be an online only feature even considering no achievements involved ...but the Golem? look so disconected form it that it should be accesible in a very contained offline mode.

  • Me and a friend are agreed, that we'd like a working seesaw/teeter totter sort of decoration for guild halls and perhaps a slide/water slide guild decoration.

We were also thinking would be neat if Southsun had a beach volleyball.

It's probably already in the Thread, but I am going to mention it:
Character-Based Hotkeys instead of Account-Based ones.
Ability to Link Equipment Tabs together with Trait Tabs.
Seperate PvP Tabs from Equipment Tabs

Remove/Replace some of the Laurel Vendor offerings that are not going to be used anyway, such as Class Specific Gear Boxes, instead a option for Stat-Selectable Exotic Boxes based on Armor (Heavy,Medium,Light) could see more use and offer new Player's a better entrance into the world of otherwise hardly available Stat Combinations.
(Maybe also add a wider variety of Boosters, maybe even 2h long Boosters for 3-5 Laurels.)

Change Map Currency Nodes to always at least give 1 Map Specific Currency.
Recipe for Stat Combinations such as Diviner should not cost Laurels, but Map Currency + Magic Instead.

Maybe a New Vendor that target's Achievement Point farmers, that could include new Rewards for them, only available once per 500 Achievement Points.
Remove Blueprints from Achievement Reward Boxes
Give the option to opt out from the Skin Rewards (Weapons and Armors) and receive a different Reward such as additional Booster, or something small.

Change the Daily Login Luck Rewards for people who reached the 300% to something different, maybe randomized T3-6 Material Coffers in amount based on Week.

Split the Promotions tab (in the Black Lion Trading Company). In one tab, include anything that's on sale (i.e. for a price cheaper than normal). For the other, include items that are not always available.

Possible names might be "Price Reduced" and "Now Available", or something like that.

  • -Slim\compact mode for LFG menu. to watch it while doing activities.
like: choose category, then enable compact mode with only groups list.

Is the ReShade add on allowed for GW2?

Why cant the devs put something like it in the game, so we can make things look nicer?

Please please please rework the blocking feature ingame and make blocking available for the forum as there are still people from the old forums who did send me death threats harassing me and reporting didn't seem to do anything. I don't feel safe here, ingame or or on reddit (I know it's beyond your control as nobody of the staff is active there) anymore. :(

I don't know how you'll detect if there are multi real users on same ip or one user with multi accounts but, limit time gated ascended crafting 1 per IP or person. not just account please or give us a simpler way to transfer our right to craft a day so a guild can easily help a member to craft their timegated things.

Possibility to see our character on mount while previewing mount skin. Sometimes I can't decide to buy the mount skin because I don't see my character on it while previewing the skin through gemstore /wardrobe / chat code.
Also the possibility in same time, while previewing a mount skin to be able to preview mount skin dyes.

I really wish there was an outfit template, so that you can choose what outfit/skins your toon is wearing no matter what gear you're using, and swap between different presets like you'd swap between equipment templates. Had it in a previous game and it made everything so much more convenient because you didn't have to reskin something everytime you changed a piece of gear.

  • This is an idea that has probably already been mentioned though here goes, just in case...

After playing for about 8 years or so, I would love to see the older maps get reworked often. Let me give an example, imagine for anyone that has played the game for more than a month returning to orr. We saw what we did there and started to turn everything green. Now imagine on a weekly bases or monthly bases, a new tree or area of grass started to grow in that area and this was expanded upon on a weekly / monthly bases. Fair play, the new guys would be a little confused as it doesn't run with their personal story, though if you had a map that was constantly changing and the events had a real impact on the land (changing them over time), it would be fascinating to return to each of the older maps to see what new items were being dropped and what the new environment looks like. Events could dynamically change over time and move on to the next story arch, repeat for about a month or so and then we see the real impact of doing that event. A truly dynamic, forward moving MMORPG!

They started this process during LS1 in 2013 which is why Kessex and LA are different from launch and why we have random toxic mob events. It was supposed to mark the ongoing process to make GW2 a more living breathing world. It didn't work (and it could never work in an MMO) and proved divisive. I think trying to combine post Zhaiten Orr with what we have would end up a mess of a map. It's prob why we ended up with Siren's Landing - so they copuld show the changes without interfering with the originals

Personally I'd prefer the old maps left alone and if they want to make the world more organic and more "living", they actually strat attaching the maps to each other rather than separate "islands" in the middle of nowhere

    • Add Noxious Pod Home node.

Simple reason for that - Single Machete is sold by Ley-Energy Matter Converter daily.
Every day owner of Ley-Energy Matter Converter can buy Machete and go to Dragon Stand and open Noxious Pod ( there are few not locked under Meta Completion ).
By adding Noxious Pod Home node you simply save us a trip to Dragon Stand to use that single Machete provided by Ley-Energy Matter Converter.

  • Candy Corn Gobbler
Change it to be more inline with the newer Snowflake and Taffy gobblers.

    Suggested update:
KEEP the boosters it currently provides! Keep icons or lump them all into one new icon like the Taffy and Snowflake gobblers.
Double click to consume 3 candy corn and a random transmogrification.
Right click to open panel with buy option. The Buy option would cost 25 Candy Corn per buy and either yield a Trick or Treat bag or 5 minutes of each XP, Item, Karma, Speed, Damage Reduction, Healthful Rejuvenation booster all at once.
Have it take from inventory AND Bank if needed.

The biggest drawback to using the CCG for boosters is it waist of time to stack the boosts. Stacking up for Special events, getting ready to go do maps, or when going into WvW, PvP for dailies, even just to get some rank up, It takes more time to get boosters loaded than it does the amount of time spent completing those tasks. I presume more players would buy the item if it didn't take so long to use it's best features, something I'm sure many complain about just sitting there clicking and clicking and clicking and clicking and clicking......AND clicking. Yes there are some things that you can do between clicks, run to the next task or vista or xyz, but that doesn't make it as enjoyable as the feeling you get from a buy 10 stacks of boosters > now go out and play vs Sit + kill your mouse left click key button for 20 minutes > now go out and play!

Thanks for considering this as a QoL update to a VERY WELL LOVED gizmo!

Character selection screen could use a facelift. I have to scroll up to four times to get to some of my characters.

It could use selection dropdowns, to show character types (professions, races, elite specs, etc.)
It could also use a search engine.

GW2 seems to have an increasing number of visual effects, generated from characters and NPCs alike. The game has always looked good, but the amount of visual effects now makes it harder to see what is actually happening, and this clutter is especially bad in boss fights. I'm unlikely to be the only person this affects so I'm keen to know how other players cope.

What graphics settings do I need so I can play the game while having a relatively uncluttered view so I can actually see what is going on?

    • New Central Tyria Mastery - Gathering Tools Specialist

New Central Tyria Mastery that will be automatically equipping new fresh gathering tool from inventory if currently equipped one is out of charges.
    How will it work:
If player has no gathering tools equipped, mastery will equip respective tool if it will appear in inventory ( once bought from vendor or received from loot, it will automatically go into character sheet to respecrtive tool slot ).
If current gathering tool went 0 on charges ( disappeared from respcetive tool slot from character sheet ) mastery will automatically equip new one from inventory, if proper tool will be present in bags.

Since infinite gathering tools are infinite, mastery should not conflict with it.
Auto-loot was one of the best thing added, please add gathering tools auto-equip too.

Also, we have too many central Tyria mastery points. It will be a means to spend them.

    oh god please yes.
I think what bothers me the most is the on hit effects on enemies, such as freeze, poison, flashing white, and so on. these change the colour of the enemy and make them look ridiculous.
But the worst is the on hit effects that create some kind of visual around the enemy. when 50+ people are hitting an enemy, they pretty much turn into a disco ball. the option to turn these effects off on enemies would be nice.
There's not many settings that help against this. effect LoD barely does anything against this.

Let us turn off overdosed glow on players as well, and an option to turn off player's backpacks so I can't see kitten with all those ridiculous oversized backpacks in the way.

I'm also curious... does this affect people that can get epilectic seizures from lights? Because it really looks like something that could trigger a seizure.

There is actually an option to reduce the number of rendered players. You only see the name and the circle where they are supposed to be. This also significantly boosts frame rate

  • Yuffi.2430Yuffi.2430 Member ✭✭✭

    Thanks for the comments.
Does the option to reduce the rendered players also reduce their visual clutter? I'm fairly sure this won't affect NPCs which is another source of visual spam.

So far, it looks like no-one can recommend settings to fix the problem, but I'm definitely not the only player who finds this a problem.
The best solution would be a specific option to reduce visual effects - ANET did something to reduce the audio clutter from Legendary weapons so maybe they can do the same for visual effects.

  • FrostSpectre.4198FrostSpectre.4198 Member ✭✭✭

Effect LOD option exists, only problem is that it reduces ALL effects.

My old complain has been lack of PvE specific option to reduce number of players visible and increase number of NPCs instead.
As in option to reduce wandering players and their skill effects, increase the visibility of NPCs and party/squad members, only in PvE.
This hasn't been even touched since GW2 launched.

There's a thread for QOL suggestions, tho I fear its just meant to be an "ocean of forgotten ideas" to sink all the ideas into.

  • Yuffi.2430Yuffi.2430 Member ✭✭✭

FYI I'm currently running these settings:

    • Environment - low detail
    • LOD distance - medium (combat tends to be within close distance so this doesn't help reduce the clutter when I need to see what's happening)
    • Post Processing - low
    • Model limit - medium (which is number of players I can see I think)
    • Model Quality - high (but this doesn't mention the visual effects, and changing it doesn't seem to make much difference)
    • Effect LOD option is ON - which says it limits detail in particle effects but doesn't seem to make much difference either way.

Not sure what else I can try.

There is a way to do this - try F11 Options, Audio Options, there's a drop down for "Other Players' Unique Item Sounds". It has a selection of options including a full mute.
What we need now, is something similar for visual effects...

    • more chat tab and chat settings/options/qol:

      • change the colour of each channel to your liking (like have a different colour for /g1 /g2 /g3 /squad /party etcetc.)
      • add a sound/alert noise when a new message is received on a specific tab and/or channel
      • copy and pasting from the chat history/current chat
    • "character template" (basically save a look you had on character creation/makeover kit for re-load later on, on a new character or an existing one) - Archeage and FF14 are notable examples of this and you can save/load a character's complete look (hair/face/body/all) and do backups incase you uninstall/reinstall. -- right now if you want to copy a look that you want on multiple characters in gw2, exactly as-is, you have to screenshot every slider and copy from there onto your new/existing character to take on the look --- SWTOR kinda gets around this by having a number at the side of each slider in the character creator that increments/decrements in value to indicate the slider's travel (so when you copy a look you just copy the numbers (like body 4, eye angle 17, height 3, etc. etc. etc.) which doesnt solve it but makes copying a look more accurate/exact.

I would call it Make-Over templates, since exclusive elements are not present in initial character creation.
But you can create template in make-Over preview NPC which show all of that.
Also in addition to Make-Over templates will be good thing to have Height Measurements.
In character's height section, player could choose other Guild Wars 2 NPCs to compare character height to them.
For example, while creating or doing make-over to Charr, player could choose Rytlock to stand next to that character to choose proper height.
Rytlock just an example, there can be plenty more of NPC characters to select per race.

the height reference guide is a big QoL to the CC height slider agreed. (an option to choose which NPC like, as mentioned: kasmeer, -or- zojja, logan, taimi, generic pact person, joko, balthazar, etc. etc.)

as for the exclusive elements in the Make-Over Kit, they could just prevent you from loading it on the new character screen (can only load from a Make-Over Kit Menu) if it has any exclusive options saved (like faces/eyecolour/hair/horns/ears/etcetc.) but you can save templates from either the new character screen or from the make-over kit UI =)

This has been asked for years, unfortunately nothing was done to solve the problem.

Model limit, limits the number of characters around you, model quality limits their quality. At lower model quality settings players around you will use the "default" armor (placeholder) instead of what they are actually wearing.

infusion/legendary trinket effects as skins so I can put them on more than 1 toon.

  • I would suggest to add character/class/build bound skill controls binding.

That would be great QoL improvment as we can't remap all skills as we want(except 3 utility skill). Also different classes/builds have different number of skills.
A lot of players have to use 3rd party key-remapers.
Some players have to change controls every time when they switching between characters/classes/builds.

    Thanks.

Increase base number of Equipment Templates from 2 to 3, so that it matches the number of Build Templates base 3.

Improve and split "Character Model Limit" and "Character Model Quality" options for PvP and PvE.
For PvE you prioritize NPCs and players in your Party/Squad, so the graphics option should reflect that. NPCs are often invisible because of the number of players present in same area, only becoming visible if you target them, which is problem when dealing with multiple NPCs you pretty much need to see over the players with shiniest and oversized gunk glued on themselves.
In PvP modes it keeps the original functions.

Please consider to add seperate section in Equipment Templates for WvW gear, just like you did for PvP.
Six Equipment Templates simply not enough for Mutli-Role professions like Ranger or Elementalist, specially for players who plays PvE and WvW content at same time.
Just like PvP section in Equipment Templates, WvW section will be activating in WvW, while PvE section will be activating in Open World\PvE.
WvW section will have their own gear storage.

While playing as mutli-role character in PvE and WvW, considering Rune\Sigil variation, Weapon variations, Gear Stat variation, there are just not enough Templates, and we have to sacrifice Equipment Templates for WvW, while losing possible gear variation that can be usefull in PvE.
