    You can already draw on the mini map.

    I wouldent be against somehow making commander markers usable in group.

    Its tech they already have just need to scale it down to parties instead of squads.

  • Increase Dragon Response Mission Boon to 2 hours,

  • Replace generic profession icons for players on the compass (mini-map) in PvP with respective elite specialization icons if they are using elite specializations.

    I wonder what's here.

    Not sure if its been said before, not going to read through 60 pages sorry.

    Heart of thorns recipe boxes could use something in them other then said recipe like the warbeast boots one.
    Otherwise they are not a reward when you got all of them just a thing you got to delete.
    https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Plan_for_Harrier's_Warbeast_Boots
    Edit
    I guess they could just stop dropping as well but unsure if that is harder to code.

  • Additional filter for both crafting recipes selection, and TP browser: "locked"...so we can find craftable or sold items that we didn't unlock yet (for craftables, it would show which ones skin we didn't unlock yet, not which recipes we did not unlocked yet)

  • Please add an Expand All option to LFG so that upon opening LFG all zones default to expanded instead of collapsed.

    • Bad UX: It is unnecessarily tedious to have to drill down every time I reopen the LFG panel.
    • Place the option either in the LFG panel (e.g., at top) or in Options panel.
    • Alternatively, have the LFG expand/collapse status of each grouping be sticky, so that e.g., if I have LFG open and expand PoF and LWS3, then if I close LFG, and later reopen it, it remembers that I had PoF and LWS3 expanded and displays them expanded.

    EVEN BETTER would be to add sticky checkboxes (i.e., favorite tags) to each of the zones so to create a 'favorites' list of LFG zones, which would always appear at the top of LFG list (expanded, of course). E.g., I could checkmark DragonFall, Elon Riverlands, World Bosses, and Achievement Hunters Central (if those are what interested me) and those would always appear - expanded - at the top of the LFG panel. It would be sticky across characters and logins.

    Whilst it is only a minor QoL thing, I could appreciate any of these.

    Or perhaps the map you were in could have an optional icon on the main UI which you clicked to open the relevant lfg (wouldn't work for instanceed things though)

    It'd be awesome to have the LFG relevant to the zone I'm in automatically appear expanded and selected. For zones with multiple LFG's, all of them could be expanded and the most popular one selected.

    It's great when you're all primed to be someone's hero and see someone in LFG asking for help with something you know. If we had an enhanced LFG like this, it'd be so easy to just press Y occasionally to check for a bat signal. I bet it would also be easier to find a hero when you need one, and people would get more help with things like obscure story instances within the zone. Just a sheer matter of convenience and increased sample size!

    I would really like for this to happen, but I very much doubt ANet will ever implement a way of getting legendary armours outside of raids. For one, they'd face a lot of very vocal opposition from raiders.

    To be honest, there's part of me that's still holding out hope for them to return to a more GW1 sort of model, where top level stats (and by extension in GW2, the ability to choose stats at will) are easy to get a hold of, but it's purely cosmetics that the grind is for. But again, they would face very vocal opposition to such a move from the noisy minority.

    There's another example of this obnoxious grind culture that's actively preventing me from participating in WvW. I took a break from the game for a very long time, from before mounts and even the wardrobe were a thing.
    After returning last year, I finally thought to myself a couple of weeks ago "Yeah, I used to enjoy a bit of WvW, let's give that a go!"
    Except I'm immediately at a disadvantage, because everyone has the Warclaw and leaves me in the dust. And the things I need to do to unlock the Warclaw necessitate being part of the blob, but I can't keep up because I don't have a Warclaw...

    Way to actively dissuade new or returning players from participating in WvW ANet.

    Here's a thought: you've implemented reward tracks in WvW that allow WvW players to unlock PvE content.
    How about implementing tracks in PvE that allow PvE players to unlock WvW content?

    Edit: Thinking on this further, one way you could allow PvE player to unlock WvW content is excess Mastery Points. I'm not saying make it the only way mind you. And only allow players to spend Mastery Points this way if they've unlocked everything they need to in the related Mastery track. Or hey, go one step further and make Mastery Points repeatable.
    Sure, there would be some balance issues to sort out with people then just repeating the easy ones, so maybe only allow people to repeat Mastery Points until they're back to their original excess level.

    I felt that the LFG system needs some love, especially with the upcoming expansion there will be more zones and even more empty lfg tabs that no one uses. I only see lfg used for very specific and popular contents (like fractals or an upcoming meta), and most other categories stays empty all the time. If we can have access to a list of currently active groups that can be filtered by type and map, it would give exposure to a lot more interesting events (like costume contests and challenges) and would encourage more players to visit a map or contents they wouldn't normally visit. I would to join on niche events just out of curiosity or to help out if I happen to see an lfg listing, but it's hard to discover them unless you click on every tab (and who does that?).

    Don't need an auto expand for all. Since I do not regularly need to switch between a lot. But remembering the last expanding settings would be nice. Or - as also suggested - opening and selecting the one for the zone where you are atm automatically.

    I also would have preferred a different order and/or grouping.

    For example: Where do I go when I want to complete a story achievement I can't solo? To the "Story Journa" ... the sectip specifically for achievements ... or just to the relevant map. (Maybe "Story journal" only means the old core story. The expansions have story and maps seperated for achievements. For the living world all achievements are in 1 section. So you'd probably want to just use the map lfg if you want to do achievements for that story parts even if it is about the instanced story content.)

    Just "map" and "achievements" would be enough. (Every story chapter under achievements, every map under the map. + some extra for achievements not related to the map and for the world bosses, ect. where maps might change if a train doing them.)

    Some stuff (I think guilds for example) also have only 1 item in that category. A bit inefficient.

    For the raids/strikes/fractals, etc. i'd just group them into one category. (Group/party play content.)
    In general: Maybe more individual items but less categories. Good order can still make it easy to find stuff. Maybe option to hide stuff you rarely or never use.)

    I would to that suggestion also key binding that make it easier to flip flap (conflate or expand) sections while this panel is open. Maybe add chat commands, so one can directly pick which part of LFG one want to open the section for map or in Eye of the North with a command "/LFG Champion" which open with all LFG for Champion DRM by default and optional Strike Mission with /LFG Strike or something like that.

    In chat ANet could have added a button for /LFG which would add that part in chat with sub option for which part of LFG one want to post.

    Little parenthesis about the warclaw, dunno the role of that mount now, they nerfed its speed so much than you are faster by feet using tp skills or swiftness. Very sad, feel like a non needed addition.

  • So I had this idea by chance onto a topic of making use of a stat type of gear and it not seeing as much desired use on one character, and wanting to go into a different character. The idea was, a Mystic Forge recipe to convert ascended armor of say heavy to a generic medium armor in the same stats. Could cost something made by the other profession to make like say Armor Enchanting Stone to convert to heavy. Leather Enchanting Stone to convert to medium, etc in the recipe.

    one suggestion is google noto sans. it's a great UI font created to unify the character sizes/strokes (basically the goal was to create a font that makes all characters clear and relatively uniform regardless of language or mix of languages used.. though there are other great options out there as well but this is one font i quickly though of)

    Can we get a skill monitor bar from guild wars 1.

    Even if it's a gizmo activated thing for pve only. Like something bought off a vendor that activates a UI element to use in pve game mode.

    There is a lot of clutter in game that makes it frustrating. How do we know what the enemy is doing to react to it. How do we know when to use an interrupt when there is so much visual noise everywhere. This skill monitor bar UI element would help.

    Click on your name up top. Click the little icon with the down arrow for preferences. Click Signature Settings to the right.

    Make crafting less timeconsuming! Once u have made any recipe thexway it's made today, u learn to craft the item material right away. I'll make an exsmple:
    U want to craft a bow. U have all materials needed for it, but they are not made into pieces (strings etc) yet. When u have crafted it once before u now have the ability to craft the entire bow (including refinement, making of pieces, dowels) wothout doing all the clicking for every singel piece and refinement.
    U get a warning asking: Do u want to use these materials (listing the mats required), for making this bow. By clicking "yes" u start the crafting process thst makes all steps automaticly as long as u have everything u need for it!

    This could be a core Tyrian mastery even.

    Not a big change, but letting warclaw use the 2nd wxp ability (The one that gives its speed boost to nearby players) at default, or through a pve mastery (somehow).

    This would give the mount a own niche use in pve, without stepping on the other mounts. And possibly make it popular with players that want to help new players before they get their own mounts, or f2p players.

    The Warclaw's Battle Maul skill says that it changes depending on the game mode, so they do have the foundation in place to do some additional stuff in PvE if they wanted to. They could've made the Warclaw and Raptor interchangeable in both forms of content and made the choice more of a cosmetic thing. Instead of that, they wrote the Warclaw off as a WvW only mount after making the damage of Battle Maul match the damage of the Raptor's Tail Spin.

    I wouldn't mind if they did something to make the mount have some unique, yet marginal, utility. If they go down the route of making it unique within PvE, they could probably also toss in things like making the Sniff ability pick up nearby players on the map. That would make it a bit of a social interaction mount.

    I kind of wonder what the people that hate PvP game modes would think about the Warclaw having some hard to notice utility, though.

    SInce Warclaw is a WvW mount, if people want the second skill they should do WvW for it, even if it becomes usable in PvE (which is a good idea actually), It's just the second skill so not much WvW involved anyway, and that way they don't need to insert additional masteries just for that one skill.

    But yeah, i'd love for that to be usable in PvE, i mean, there's no reason not to.

    That would be cool too! And also something to maybe get people into WvW if they want to master it. I don't see a reason to have separate PvE masteries on a Warclaw, the first two can be basically copied to PvE, and just ditch the last two (siege and player dismount).
    Would be cool to have a mount that works in PvE but you have to master in WvW. Would make it pretty unique too.

    I'd say the Sniff ability would also be useful to find nearby allies, but the truth is allied players should probably be marked on the map in PvE by default since the population has dwindled alot and it'd help with ad-hoc social grouping.

    WvW already supports this, I never understood why PvE doesn't.

    Again ( and again and again and again ). PLEASE give us option to DISABLE visual effects of LEGENDARY TRINKETS.

    I am myself, and i think so does many other did craft those not for the sake of visual effect it brings, but just for quality of the item.
    I did craft them, and i use them not for fancy aura effects or nothing, all i wanted are properties of Legendary item. With Legendary Trinkets i've been able to spare Agony Infusions with stats, and use single one in all templates for respective infusions slot. But visual effect those items bring are not important.

    Before someone starts the argument of 'People have rights to show off what they have' - I want to disable it on my characters, not on everyone else.
    Backpack's checkbox in character sheet is example and already implemented into the game. Do same for Trinkets, please.
    To say more we can transmute backpack into non-legendary skin, and so does armor and weapons.

  • Not sure if someone has said this on the previous 60 pages, but maybe a way to hide male chest armor? It has been asked a couple times before, but if not, I do have a thread as another way to get it in a sense. (Plus we have seen Olmakhan Charrs without chest armor so...)

    ■ LFG + event timer

    Hello, ARENA NET, 💕

    My suggestion is to integrate LFG and EVENT TIEMR.

    I've read this article's comment, and I've confirmed that there is nothing about it.

    I've been playing since the first month GW2 opened.

    In my opinion, the biggest attraction of GW2 is the meta event.

    And we are using external programs or websites to find this meta-event.

    And in order to view meta-event content, obtaining information from outside the game will act as a barrier for first-time users.

    It is also causing inconvenience to existing users.

    I don't really know if this was posted before but Guild Wars 2 combat often gets clutter with visual effects that either become visual noise or fps drain, so I really wish some of these options were implemented:

    • Option to hide all player characters model;
      • and an option to exclude party members' models;
      • and an option to exclude squad members' models;
      • and an option to exclude enemy players' models.

    We do have an option to limit the character models but sometimes it limits the number of enemies we can see or the NPC we are escorting.

    • Option to hide all player names;
      • and an option to exclude party members' names;
      • and an option to exclude squad members' names;
      • and an option to exclude enemy players' names.

    We also have one similar to this but they don't hide squad members' names and sometimes your squad gets filled with 50 players which becomes a huge cluster of names.

    • Option to disable only friendly player area-of-effect rings.

    This one is a good source of visual noise, you can disable the area-of-effect rings but it disables both friendly and enemy AoE rings/telegraphs.

    • Option to disable other players skill effects;
      • and an option to exclude party members;
      • and an option to exclude squad members;
      • and an option to exclude enemy players.

    Last but not least, I really don't care about other players' skill effects in some fights and they drain your fps to almost zero in world bosses fights.

    Is there a feature in the Guild Hall to raise a statue of a member? It would be a great way to remember the guild's heroes of the past.
    Using the model of a certain character ID, capturing a movement and then convert into a static model. Then add a story to the description. Maybe giving all other members a section where they share their experiences and stories sorted in categories (following a template created by the guild?). It would also be a great way to add to the guild's history books.

    Instant mount switching to make constantly switching mounts more fluid.

    What we have now:
    Player dismounts while on the raptor.
    Character jumps off the raptor.
    Character lands on the ground.
    Player calls the skimmer.
    Character jumps off the ground.
    Character lands on the skimmer.

    What would be better:

    If they add this it will only be for weapons going forward no old ones will apply, like they did with the backpacks.

  • Greetings.

    I came back to the game a few weeks ago and discovered the magic of build templates and being able to swap from one build to the next in one click.
    Being able to go from hfb to cdps or power banner to condi banner is just so easy and convenient as well as useful if you raid or do CM among many of the late game features.

    I also strongly believe Fashion Wars to be part of the end game content for Guild Wars 2 and have had quite some fun mixing up the different armours and colour schemes to create totally awesome looking characters as well as using the build templates to have fun with different "outfits". (My warrior had a dark menacing look on his BS build and a more angelic version of it for the condi version of the build with the black and white feathered wings respectively)

    Sadly, even if I can have fun with the different build templates to create different styles it seems to be limited by the "equipment" tab itself. Of my two different warrior build it is not possible to lock a glider to a template, aka, my "angelic" warrior will glide with dark wings or the opposite.
    I have also noticed the issue with the store outfits that hide all of the templates, the mount dyes or skins that are character locked similarly to the glider dyes.

    I feel that Guild Wars 2 is missing out on a great opportunity in allowing us to customise our characters better as well as the cool looking outfit like the new Mystic scholar outfit that despite looking awesome will probably never see the light (mostly because I can't be asked to click it on and off every time I swap a builds but still!)

    • Anyway, please make it so build templates can be locked in with different gliders, mount (skins/dyes) and outfits :v

    Much love and have a good day.

  • Please, YES.

    Reduce the intensity of the bright yellow flashing light that pops up every time a Soulbeast leaves beast mode (which is every time the player mounts). It may seem harmless, but if you’re camera is close to the character, the effect is too severe. Some of us experience pain and discomfort from bright flashing lights.

    I'd love this, as I try to theme my armor after my builds if possible. The only way for me to achieve this is to get multiple sets of ascended gear, but I'm in legendary grade armor. Legendary armor only allows me to have one theme.

    Edit:
    They could also make a wardrobe template system and then let build templates have equipment and wardrobe templates tied to them. Equipment templates and build templates shouldn't require two different keybindings.

    Theming equipment and build is the best thing about the templates. When they bring in the legendary armory it would be great that they just lets us transmute the equipment slots.

    Icebrood Saga weapon collections cost 10500 Gold to craft! Including new Fiery/Icy Weapons!
    *Does not include Volcanic Stormcaller set.

    Yeah the spell particle effects are a major problem, i want to be able to turn them down at least if not off. One SB isnt causing a migraine but when there is a dog pile on a boss or event it about induces a seizure. I dont see how you could not be effected by that?
