Sulfur veins - can't summon skimmer

If you fall into the sulfur veins for whatever reason, if you have the skimmer active you can summon it immediately to survive. But if you have any other mount as your current selection, you cannot change to skimmer due to your mount button going into combat mode, and usually die. Falling into the veins should allow you to change to skimmer so it is not a death sentence. This should also be true for lava and other terrain that the skimmer protects you from.

Key bind your mounts.Problem solved.

I'm surprised you're able to even summon the skimmer when you have it selected. As soon as I take damage, I can't summon any mount. Someone suggested allowing mounts to be summoned in combat in another thread -I wouldn't mind that idea. But either way is fine.

Hang on... when you get mounts, you get extra options to key bind them. You don't have those options in the screenshot, but you say you've unlocked the skimmer? That's odd.

Ah, I see the problem. I don't have the option to bind specific mounts in the character select screen. I have to be somewhere in game before it shows up.@Boogiepop Void.6473 can you check if that's the case for you?
