Guide for the forever lost Major Bug

The Guide for the Lost is the collection for the Scourge but one of the items for the Recipe: Superior Rune of the Scourge is either not triggering or the timer on the event is really long. Today I tried to get the event complete but nothing happened by that the event never spawned or if it did my game didn't spot it. So I went to where the game said the event started the Necropolis and talk to the Receiving Attendant. But I never had to option to talk to him. Events spawned all over the map but this one event would not spawn. This need to be fixed. Cause this is the only spec that seems to be having this problem.Map: Domain of VabbiLevel: 80Possfesion: NecromancerMap based event.

I hung around the NPC for 1.5 hours earlier today. I've been hanging around the NPC for about two hours again now, and the event hasn't popped up a single time. Another person has also been waiting most of the afternoon, never having seen it pop up, either. As OP said, either something is broken, or it's just on a ludicrously long timer.

And this shows that it's not a single event that one person is having trouble with. What do we need to get a dev response here

sounds like this one may be incorrectly set as daily gated.

It's not just that is it is time-gated or not it is also connected to an event. From what I know the firebrand's: Help Explorer Jeppa recover lost supplies above Brightwater Inlet in the Desert Highlands is not daily locked from what I know.

I finally saw it spawn about half an hour before daily reset. There was an event to protect the funeral area from a Forged champion. About 10 minutes after that event successfully ended, the NPC yelled out its bit about the funeral procession. But yeah, I saw it pop once out of all the hours I hung around in the area today.

About 40 minutes before daily reset. But I have no idea what might have made that event trigger.

I'm still waiting for this event, any fix, info or something? This is a bit annoying...

Been camping Necropolis for two days. Completed protecting the funeral area multiple times. Even had my daily reset. The Receiving Attendant was never able to speak to, nor Protecting the Funeral Procession event enabled. Cannot complete Guide for the Lost because of this bugged event.

Just gonna throw this in: the event seems to have multiple spawn locations - it starts somewhere and it trails back to the Necropolis. If you are camping the Necropolis waypoint, you may get the ending part of the event so try to be on the outskirts.

Look up LFG, and have a teleport to friend on your character at all times to make sure you get there in time. That's how I got mine. During peak hours I fairly commonly see it advertised.

There IS a popup at least if you are in the necropolis area but it is easy to miss if you just looked away for a second but even then you would only know the event is up but not where it was. Luckily for me when that happened I had already the checked the wiki beforehand and someone else managed to get there faster than me so they were able to keep the NPCs and casket alive.

The casket can also be healed. O_o

Didn't see any patch notes today that would indicate they are aware of or put any sort of thought into making this more doable for one or a few people without having to wait around for hours for it to spawn and most likely not making it in time before the casket has already lost 75% of it's health and clearly won't survive the voyage from there. Sad.™ DO SOMETHING.™

Can you please FIX THIS quest. This is what is happening.

1. Camp the receiving attendant 15 minutes before the event should start
2. The event should start at both dawn and dusk,
3. Standing next to the attendant when the correct time occurs.
4. The event never pops because the casket and escort spawn at the end of the escort (where it would complete - which it does but you can't get credit that way).

I have only ever seen this event pop once more than a month ago at the north spawn location. I have been trying to do this collection for more than 30 days now and EVERY single time, the casker just "appears" at the bridge by the receiving attendant. It should be spawning elsewhere, so we can actually escort the casket and get this specialized weapon collection done.

Just wanted to bring up the Receiving Attendant is still bugged and he doesn't ever let you talk to him. You have to just loop the spawn points for the escort waiting to pop up, which is very annoying.

From the info I've gathered, it comes up once an hour between the top of the hour and five minutes after but if your not fast enough it fails quickly due to escort dying so you have to just go back and forth between spawn area's otherwise you'll miss it. After I figured that out is wasn't hard but there was so little info (looks at wiki) to go on at first, I had to do some digging and it still took me four to five hours between a few weeks of trying off and on to get one event done.
