Branded Eye of Argon

Where does the Branded Eye of Argon drop? I assume it is some kind of ultra rare drop on the new map, so far only 4 of 195.305 (0,002 %) account on gw2efficiency have it unlocked.

It is buy orderable on trading post, but none for sale. Wiki does not know its source either (https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Branded_Eye_of_Argon)

Well, im guessing it either drops from the new Shatterer or maybe from killing mobs inside Argons Fort?(i dunno if theres an event that spawns there or not.)

Either way it appears be pretty rare, more rare than precursors given the amount of people who currently play through this content. The Shatterer event and the mobs inside Argons Fort are done in masses for the achievements.

I wonder if this will just be another impossible to get item similar to the Mini Djins, which still cannot even be buyordered a year after PoF :(

Sounds 100% accurate, i mean..only the super rich can get the other exotic minis from PoF too, so.

I guess I am one of those super rich then. I do not mind the rarity itself or spend a good amount of gold on them.But it does not help if you are searching a needle in a haystack and then the needle has only a tiny chance to be visible to you even when you directly look at it. That would describe Mini Djins (or this shield) accurately. If I knew event or chest xyz would have a dropchance for it, I would go for it daily, but no way I will randomly keep playing through PoF maps hoping to win the lottery.

Shouldnt the Djinn drop from the legendary/Champion Djinn(the mastery ones possibly?), i know thats alot of events still, but it would narrow it down a little.

I would rule out all the events that are frequently done for achievements to be honest. Unless the rarity is even worse than expected of course.

3 of them are listed now, so people must have found the source of it

You just need to have all three invisible footwear to unlock the drop chance. Very easy.

That seems likely. In GW2 the shield was a rare drop from Corporal Argon in Jahai Bluffs. Assuming his defeat and his shield being taken isn't canon (which seems likely since he had a fort named after him) he would still have it when he was awakened by Joko and subsequently branded...leaving it available for us to take now.

I havent seen it spawn yet and i camped that area one day all day farming karma there, so im wondering how often that event spawns.

I have seen it once, my guess it is on a long(ish) timer of at least one hour

Time to spend more time in that part of the map I thought was useless to me now

Same, but the price will be outrageous once noone plays the map anymore since supply is so low even with the maps still being relatively crowded.

I just formed a group to beat him. No drop, but he does use it in battle so it seems reasonable to conclude he is the place to camp it

Look for defeat branded awakened. That then leads to defeat 3 awakened leaders, the last of which is Argon himself

Yeah I just had it spawn 20 minutes after that post. Waited for like 2 hours, not sure if the escort event might be delaying it or something
