2/3 trinity...

I feel like GW2 is doing the 2/3 trinity; DPS and support.
Sure you don't need the support slot in your team comp but the benefit is HUGE.Where is the GW2 version of a control spec, Anet please make the first control spec a Rev.

I think they intended to do this with Taunt but they they made it always last like 1sec and have high cooldowns.

You do know that every daze, stun or ther control effect skill is that already?Warrior off hand mace, headbutt, kick are a nice controler when a blue bar needs breaking, so are a thief with basilisk venom (with 4 people to share venom too) or a mesmer with humility elite signet etc.

Sorry, I thought the Chrono took care of single-handedly breaking defiance bars? Part of their whole demigod-status-having-been-brought-to-life-by-zeus thing.

Supports exist as in buffers and control is spread across all classes through their cc skills.

Nar I want real control, like taunt... force the boss to obey you.
Remember we used to say "every class has support" we called them combo fields and blast finishers back in the day. Don't be held back by what is now.Control can be a thing so much more than it is now.Agree with you Turkey... lets knock the mes back a peg or two.

We still have combo field and blast finishers its used alot, and I hope we dont get the tierd old taunt aggro mechanic from wow and its predecesors.

There are already aggro mechanics and crowd control mechanics, plus utilities of various sorts.

I believe their intent is that everyone can contribute to a free flow "trinity" to put it lightly, I remember Colin speaking about going anywhere within the spectrum.
