[Suggestion] Sharing mini-map for exploration

Hi everybody,

Once again, sorry if the idea has already been mentioned.

By regularly playing with my wife to help her on her story and exploration, we thought it was complicated to help someone explore, especially when they are not physically near us. The exploring player can hardly tell us where is his missing point of interest or vista.

Here is my idea. Obviously, the terms and the icon used are probably not the best.

We could have a new small icon on the mini-map to select the map of a party member. The selection screen would be the same as the "teleport to friend". By selecting the player, we would have access to his mini-map under ours. A tab would allow us to switch maps to compare them. The maps would be linked in terms of zoom and navigation for easy reading.

This feature would allow any party player to compare their map with yours and vice versa. This would be a simple free map sharing.

The game already provides tools for communicating those things ...

You can check what you are missing my hovering over the map legends. You can tell other people what you need by placing down a personal waypoint.

You are both right, there are solutions and tools. But I was just thinking of a more "social" tool between friends, a less automated system of information sharing between players.

What you are suggesting is more automation not less.

Also arguably less social as well since it reduces the amount of communication required.
