Deadeye PvE?

I'd like to play a deadeye but I'm wondering if they're any good in PvE? Thanks.

Deadeye has top single target dps. However it lacks aoe. So usability depends on what you want to do. As @Archivist.8109 said, DE is often uses in raids as a dps class. Especially on bosses that don't spawn adds. However I wouldn't try to run DE in open world events, especially not zerg farming like Istan or the upcoming Labyrinth. It's certainly possible, but there are other professions that are better suited to hitting a lot of mobs.

Oh, btw: Raid DE uses double dagger most of the time. So bad news if you were hoping to play as a sniper.

Top dps like other people said but lacks aoe. I use it for fractals, using D/D. You can use rifle which will give the highest dps but it requires a bit of knowledge about the rotation. Spamming abilities with the rifle (like your average deadeye player would) won't give you max dps unless you do the proper rotation. Then again, against some bosses you may want the ability to move around as kneeling in 1 spot can be dangerous, so D/D has your typical mobility with about 2-3k less dps.
