CedarDog.9723
This is the fourth day or so in a row (that I've noticed) thus far in which my home instance cats have been missing. So far I've noticed them missing from Black Citadel, Rata Sum and Divinity's Reach and Hoelbrak. Where did they go?
Inculpatus cedo.9234
You, or a guest, perhaps, likely turned on the Feline Dispersing Emitter. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Feline_Dispersing_EmitterUsing it will toggle the (dis)appearance of any unlocked cats next time the instance is loaded. The dispersed cats will appear in The House of Caithe instead of any of the home instances.Just toggle it back off, exit and re-enter.Good luck. CedarDog.9723
Ah, I'll try that. I know I didn't. So that leaves either a glitch, or someone else turning it on. If it's someone else turning it on, why do they even have access to do so in someone else's home? Ah well. I guess I'll be back if that doesn't fix the issue. Thanks for the info. Inculpatus cedo.9234
Guests have access to all the 'goodies' in one's Home Instance. Well, almost all.
CedarDog.9723
Oh, BTW, that was the problem. Someone must've turned the disperser on.

Someone must've turned the disperser on.In some of the maps, it's not that hard to do accidentally; the 'interact' prompt can be near some of the nodes. Well, almost all.Definitely almost-but-not all. Guests cannot use the two Black Lion boards (even if they have them in their own home instance), nor the Gardener, for example, and they cannot re-plant the garden plots. CedarDog.9723
They shouldn't be allowed to disperse the cats since that affects everyone including the home instance owner. Perhaps if it's a client-side based toggle that prevents the individual user's ability to see the cats, then that'd be fine.

Thus, the 'almost all'. :)But, mostly in answer to the query about how someone else could interact with anything in someone else's Home Instance.
