List of QoL and QoContent suggestions for LS3 maps from veteran player.

Alright folks, its a relatively long wall of text, even with my poor attempts to make short. I tried to make it resonable in terms of resources required to implement my suggestions.

Bloodstone Fen

  1. (Kill the seekers to halt the cleric's supply of bloodstone shards) event. Nearby players who doing their own stuff have a good chance to upscale this event and make it quite frustrating to deal with.

Reduce area of scaling, if event upscaled and energy of shield keep bouncing between 25-100% until last minute, spawn limited amount of large bloodstone boulders (same as shards but dealing large (25%) amount of damage to cleric's shield).

  1. Legendary Unbound Guardian green circle effect (Distributed Magic) can be blocked by aegis, which sounds good until you realize that this will prevent player from getting 200% damage boost.

Distributed Magic should be unblockable by aegis only (developers already used this in raid wing 4).

Ember Bay

  1. Your character surprised by the Sloth Queen.. Even if he/she already killed actual Slothasor in raid wing 2.

Change voice line from - "WTH is this" to - "You again?" type of reply if your character already familiar with Sloth Giganticus family.

  1. Sloth Queen uses extremely downgraded versions of Slothasor skills. Its basically walking piniata. Boss unable to kill anyone even afk players with her attacks.

Make this boss slightly stronger in terms of personal attacks when large quantity of players presented. Add Wet Dog attack, but replace damaging conditions by debuffs such as chill, weakness etc. Mostly for educational value.

  1. There is not many reasons to do Chalice of Tears jumping puzzle after completing achievement/collections. Even less reasons to do it without friendly mesmers (other than sense of price and accoplishment).

Implement weekly challenge mote in the begining of puzzle, activating it will add molten runestone (2-5) to final chest. Mote preventing you from using mesmer portal in puzzle area. You still can use personal portals like Rewindler or Spectral Walk. Do not add any achievement point to this mote for obvious reasons.

Molten Runestones can be turned into Frozen Exotic Weapon Fragments in "The Bitter Cold" area.

Bitterfrost Frontier

  1. Killing last (9th) champion in meta event Beacons of Koda will despawn all other champions. All players who fought with them will recieve no reward and "event failed" messages. Its really unfair, even though I sort off understand why developers did it this way.

  2. The Bitter Cold, Daily Elixir Addiction and Jotun Weapon Specialist.

Interesting area, but serve no purpose other than story progression/few achievements. Daily Elixir Addiction is the worst and least interesting achievement you can imagine. Jotun Weapon Specialist 100% useless until heat death of universe after you earn your 3 frozen weapon fragments as reward from LS.

Solution - Replace Elixir Addiction on Kill Champion Ice Elemental in Black Cavern Junction area (because nobody cares about that champion) Daily chest should have low chance of droping single frozen exotic weapon fragmemt.

Add weekly Jormag Reliquary chest in The Bitter Chill with elite icebrood kodan as keykeeper. This chest should drop (1-3) FEWF and very low chance for Jormag Cold infusion (same as Kodan infusion but with blue color instead of fire).

3) There is thin icewall at the end of Black Cavern, our friend Braham crushing it with single hit.. why we or atleast roller beatle cant do the same?

Make ice wall breakable by Roller Beatle mount.
