Do you think nature magic is better than bm for soul beast ? I don't see how that would be the case. Do the boons somehow make up for all the lost stats, natural healing, zephyrs speed ?

if you run standard boonbeast sword/warhorn and double axe, wilderness survival plus nature magic plus soulbeast is the way to go, in nature magic you should go for the warhorn traitline, which gives passive heal while under regeneration and plus regeneration itself, plus protection heal uptime you will have passive healing compared to warrior adrenaline health if not better.

But note this build is the best 1vs1 duelist in the game right now, can do fine while roaming, but for "pure roaming" a longbow/greatsword using beastmastery sic'em soulbeast build is superior because around the map you will find not so great players, and especially necros will die at 1500 range without touching you, with boonbeast you got to engage them at melee or 900 range and you don't have the oneshot burst of longbow, so the fight will be longer and bit more risky, especially against reapers.

Donee in his video run a mixed build running greatsword, it's fine to experiment with weapons and traits and not always stick to the meta.

So nature magic over beastmatery depends always on your playstyle and on the build you choose to play, there is no trait better than another.

You're overthinking. When you run a 28k HP boonbeast with a fairly amount of toughness with GS and Owl, it makes no difference.
