I opened 20,000 heavy loot bags

I've been stacking heavy lootbags for some times and decided to open them today. I did not record it since I dont have a good enough computer. I did however document it with screen shots after each batch.

I had to open them in several turns since my bag space is very limited on my character.

In totalt I opened 80 stacks of heavy loot bags which is exactly 20,000

It took four turns of opening and replacing the mats with a new batch of lootbags.Turn nr1: I opened 29 stacksTurn nr2: I opened 20 stacksTurn nr3: I opened 20 stacksTurn nr 4: I opened 11 stacks

Each result consists of the mats in my inventory. Not the mats in the guild bank window you see behind.

I'm curious as to your conclusion? I mean you must have had a vision for why you would stockpile that many bags to open at once.

You'd think so, lol! Really I jsut hoarded them for fun... for years. There is a wiki page with stats about other people opening heavy loot bags and percentage where the most opened is around 10k bags. And as an example the t6 mats end up at 0,09 % per bag (chance to get a unspecific t6 mat) and out of all the 20k bags I opened I got aprox 210 of each t6 mats, im not sure but I think it adds up to aprox the same (0,09ish)

someone told me get those bags open between level 49 to 51 so i get best t3 mats.. you could have gotten a fortune !

Well a simple conclusion would be that farming players in WvW is a reliable way to get T5. I find the same thing doing HoT metas: tons and tons of T5 mats. I think that's good since I tend to upconvert a lot of T5 to T6, or craft LV 80 rares to gamble in the magic toilet.

Heavy Loot Bag is T5/T6 - they do not factor in opening character's level. Loot bags like these are labelled as to which Tier they are, like Medium, Light etc - they correspond to the level of the character you killed in WvW

funny note: jsut realised when looking through the pics that I placed a molten loadstone together with the cores in all pics where i got one apart from the last one, lol propably because its picture is round :´D

i remember doing a short spanned, lil group EB commanding and got 7 champ bags in total and got Storm from that run.

Please stop mis-informing people. As I stated above, these bags are NOT level dependent. Here I've opened a few Heavy Loot Bags on a level 51, and as you can see , the contents were exactly the same loot table as a level 80, and the same if a level 1 opened them. There are other containers that are level-dependent, but these have never been so.
