Deleted Character Name

Hi all,I just deleted a low level character to create a new race and profession character. However it won't let me choose the original name I had.Can anyone tell me how long it actually takes to completely delete a character so I can get this name back again?

I "think" it is 24 hours

Or maybe that is reserved for your account for 24 hours

I've deleted characters and remade the same name immediately. Double check the name? Maybe a glitch? There shouldn't be any delay.

The name is saved for your account for 24 hours; it is then released to the general playerbase.If the character deleted is very old, the name may have been added to the name filter.

Make sure you are using the exact name again; Capital I (eye) instead of lowercase l (ell) and vice versa, etc.

O_O!A player named Bloodstealer wants to know the name you’re trying to use. I... I think he wants to steal your name, then force you to pay him in blood for him to release the name.

I had a lot of sugar.

I've done a bit of that lately, and not had any issues with it.

The ransom would be fair, no credit card required.. a pound of flesh and a glass of the red stuff will suffice (not to be confused with a good bottle of Chianti though :) )
