Match quality

Once you hit legend, the matchmaker seemingly puts you in completely unwinnable matches. I had a -35 from a 20-500 game and a -30 from a 38-500 game. All this while winning is granting me +2. Ben, I'd be delighted if you could look into the +2 game and let me know the rating differences between the two teams. It's kinda insane that you need to have a 17-1 winratio in order to break even (or gain 1 rating).

It's because you get punished twice for being highly rated. You get paired with significantly worse teammates to create 'even' teams, then get slammed again by the end of match rating change.

The only way to stay on top is wintrading, which is why it's so prominent

Always been like that , is that really surprising you? You were playing at morning/when nobody play except may be silvers etc ?Huge loss, win almost nothing

I'm tempted to echo what people always tout: "carry harder, and you're gonna end up where you belong."

It's not random at all. /s

Truth is, asymptotically this is true, but how many trials does it take on average to get into the neighborhood of your true rating.
