Do the areas added by HoT and PoF count towards world completion?

Self-explanatory question that happened to pop into my head: the last couple times I booted the game up and glanced at the world map, I noticed that the world completion counter doesn't show up on HoT maps. I don't own PoF yet, though, but I'd assume this is the case with that expansion as well. Hence, I came to wonder whether the HoT and PoF maps count towards world completion or not.

Anyone able to answer this for me?

They don’t. Only Core Tyria maps count towards “Been There. Done That.” achievement.

World completion for the Gift of Exploration, the Been There, Done That title and the gold star on your character's name plate only requires the core maps.

HoT and PoF maps have their own 'world' completion, which requires only the maps which come with the expansion and which gives a gift used to make 2nd gen legendary weapons. The living story maps each have their own map completion reward, but there's no overall reward for doing all of them.

I was going to ask "What gold star??", but then realizes you meant the info shown when you target a player. ;)
