Recipes for Superior Sigil of Mischief and Superior Rune of Snowfall [Resolved]

I thought with the wintersday update we would see these but I see no mention in the patch notes. So with the ability to make them in the mystic forge taken away the only way to get the rune is the TP with less than 3500 available and the sigil is a rare drop in wintersday gifts and I would say very rare, I just opened 500 and didn't get any. Guess that is one collection I will never finish.....

You can buy the green version from the vendor and mystic forge them up, however the amount of mystic coins needed is really high and would cost over 600g to acquire the mystic coins from the trading post

It's an abandoned content Anet no longer cares about, so I don't really expect them to actually fix the problem (they themselves have caused) anymore. It's not like they didn't have few years for that already. I just gave up on that collection.Too bad, i guess, but what can i do.

No you can't they had removed the recipes with the big sigil /rune update

yeah you cant even uplevel them anymore, its disappointing that they continue to feed the TP barons like this.

maybe the recipe sheet drops from one of the wintersday activities?

When they removed the recipes, I fully expected they were planning to add new ways to acquire these (and hopefully affordably) with this year's Wintersday content. I'm rather shocked that they didn't. This seems like a major oversight.

Meanwhile, the price on the Superior Sigils of Mischief and Superior Runes of Snowfall are already beginning to spike. This looks like a repeat of the Superior Sigil of Nullification disaster.

It would cost even 13g to make one with the recipes so the price isn't that high but i'm also frustrated from this too. Price went up from 8g to 10g and the only way to get one is from the winterday gifts . Could someone tell me the drop rate?

We've still had no explanation or apology for the Nullification fiasco. And now TWO discontinued runes for Wintersday which will set you back 750g to complete 2 of 10 achievements. That is until they run out, as there are no more available.

Drop rate is low, I have opened about 1k gifts and gotten 0. I got one all of last wintersday. So even for the rare slot of drop rates it seems lower than it could be.

I don't recall ever getting any of the superior versions from wintersdays day gifts I've opened every year since the festival debuted. That must be several thousands of gifts by now. The drop late must either be stupidly low, or I have amazing horrid luck, and quite possibly a combination of both.

it is in the gifts, if you preview you can see it but stupid low drop rate. And its just the sigil so there's no way to get the run other than buy it.

Once the limited quantities run out, Winter's Presence will become completely unobtainable. In the meantime, the price will likely skyrocket due to basic supply vs. demand. This seems like an obvious oversight, possibly due to a miscommunication. Did the team in charge of removing the recipes even bother to alert the festival team that they needed to add a replacement for this?

Just the Superior sigil of Mischief drops, its in the gifts, right click to preview and you see it in the rare category.

In other words, they did a big rework to ensure that every single sigil and rune is craftable, only to go back on that design choice in the very next patch? Who would've thought.

darn i was thinking about making it this year, ive tried to put : the dust , coins, major snowfall runes and snowflakes in the mf but the recipe doesn't work for me, so im thinking about giving up

Yea, a bit bummed about this. My fault for not finishing it last year, but was hoping they'd have a new way to craft them after the rework.

ended up just listing for superior and waiting, will cost about 250g more then i wanted but...guess ill have to farm some more

The recipes have been added to the Wintersday Vendor.

so they just released crafting for them, really nice just make my mischief for like 1/3 of the old price
