Race for druid ranger?

Is there a certain race that is better suited to being a druid ranger (the healer of the group)? I know every race can be every class but does one race do a better job at healing than the others?

All races are mainly cosmetic, and have no impact on gameplay. Each race does have a set of unique Elite abilities, but they are all on super long cooldowns, and are mainly there for flavor and roleplay.

In short, pick what you like the most - they all perform the same.

OK thanks! I know that the first utility/healing spell you get (default #6 key) for each race is different but I didn't know if that would factor in when healing others. That's mainly why I was asking about this.

Asura is always the best choice, no matter what profession or specialization.They do flips mid-air when dodging, amazing and confusing your enemies.

Anything but an Asura or Charr.

Lorewise I think norns and sylvari makes the most sense.

All personal preference, if you wanna roleplay and go asura ranger you can.

Create a new character, do the basic mission and then go to the mists to see what race holding what weapon you like the look of ~ Druid use a lot of Staff and i found i couldn't stand the look of the norn/human/Sylvari almost falling over using the staff autoaatk so i settled on Charr

Sylvari IMO, you can play as wood with a stick. That's the best choice

All the races have ways to RP rangers. Druids, not as much.

An Asura druid could be a member of the College of Synergetics and probably the Durmand Priory, studying the Eternal Alchemy through oneness with nature and ancient lore.

For the Sylvari, being so close to nature and descended from Maguuma as they are, druidry comes to them naturally.

The Norn are an ancient race of semi-wild hunters whose ancestors walked Tyria at the same time as the original human druids. No reason they couldn't follow in those footsteps.

Human druids could be favored by Melandru at character creation, and might even have distant druid ancestry.

The only race it's hard for me to imagine as a druid would be Charr, unless maybe you wanted to RP as an Olmakhan. Rangers in the Legions would tend to be more practical scout and skirmisher types, I think.

The racial skills are never particularly powerful (although they sometimes have uses). The druid healing glyph or healing spirit both overshadow the racial heals.
