Getting New Pets

Can a ranger of any level get any pet in the game or are the ones in Crystal Desert & Heart of Maguuma locked behind being a certain level to obtain? I'm looking to get the Jacaranda, Rock Gazelle, and Fanged Iboga which are all in those 2 zones.

Nope no restrictions but you will probably die without being level 80 or having certain masteries unlocked.Tp to friend is the safest option.

You can get those at any level, but I believe both the Iboga and Gazelle are technically locked behind areas that require mounts (Springer would work in both cases, although the Ibogas are right near the Springer unlock area, so I believe you'd need the long jump on the raptor unlocked first, IIRC). Do you have any teleports to friend? If you don't have mounts unlocked, you could always use those or have a friendly mesmer portal you to the spots you can't reach.

FYI: None of those 3 pets are found in the Heart of Maguuma.

I do have the raptor mount and yesterday I was able to find out how to get to the area where the Jacaranda was out & was able to get it.

yes, you only need to personally come up front and pres F to charm the animal. Surviving in lvl 80 maps to get to the juvenile pet is another topic
