I want to install the game on a game drive (E) but the installer doesn't prompt for a target drive change, I tried launching the installer from the E drive after putting it there manually..but no dice. I even tried to do a regedit on the Windows 10 Program files and x86 files to direct all new app installs to the E drive (temporarily). Didn't work either.Can someone please tell me how to do a direct install to an alternate drive? Thanks. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Illconceived Was Na.9781 Posted January 26, 2019 Share Posted January 26, 2019 Why do you want to do a "direct install"?Instead, create a GW2 folder on your destination drive. From your original drive, copy two files: gw2-g4.exe and gw2.dat and paste to the new folder. Run the EXE from the new folder; the game will take care of the rest. Kanok.3027 Posted January 26, 2019 Share Posted January 26, 2019 That's what I did. Have my GW2 installation on a M.2 SATA SSD and it's great.
