One of my accounts has fallen foul of a mysterious email authentification turn on (it was off) and I can't access the email which I need for the authentification. I wish I could change the account name... Anyway I was wondering if I am likely to get this solved before the festival ends. Any thoughts? Thanks! I guarantee it. ArenaNet staff have said on multiple occasions that although they will change it if it violates name policy, they won't change it on user request because it can break some parts of the account, especially "social" things like (this is not a definitive list):Being in a guild.Using guild chat./w whispering other players, in either direction.Using the Trading Post.Using LFG.If you mean the email address you use to log in, yes, that can be changed, but requires the intervention of the support staff, as far as I know.
