Thoughts on power mirage vs condi mirage

Do people share the same hate towards power mirage as they do for condi mirage or is it just a condi mirage exclusive thing thats busting people's balls this season?

From what I read on reddit and her eon the forums (while trying to remain as unbiased as I can), Condi Mirage gets more hate vs DPS builds. DPS mirage takes a bit more skill to play AND win vs Condi mirage. I have tried both myself and could hold my own better in outnumbered scenario while on a condi build (both trailblazer and dire) than DPS (Marauder and mix Marauder/Valk).

Some of the complaints for Mirage that I have seen was:

    • Dodging while Stunned/Stomping/Casting
    • Visual Clutter with mass clones
    • Condi Mirages able to load up quickly and walk away
    • Sword has lots of utility in its own
    • Condi Sustain is too high with strongest condis in the game (esp for the low skill required builds...which is all condi Mirage). Too high rewards for a super low skill needed.
    • DPS meta 1 shot burst (only applies to those built for it and havent heard much about this one lately)
    • Great synergy with Adventure runes and Endurance Sigil

Going vs each other (similar skill) DPS won more than condi (Condi Meta, DPS not meta) due to GS ambush was able to clear clones faster.

This is all part Opinion and more facts (again...what I see on the forums here and reddit). Also, I see a lot of Mirage players actually telling people the issues with their class (haven't seen that happen in a long time). Makes ya wonder if they know what they are taking about from experiences lol.

Take what you want from this post.

Condi mirage is way easier to play and is more rewarding, therefor it's hated.

Only bad players hate on power mirage, it's a well telegraphed and underperforming spec that's hard to play well but if you don't know how to dodge then it can destroy you in seconds.

Pretty much this, at this point if someone is complaining about power mirage it's a clear sign they're new and need to learn to play against it or just plain bad. Sure it can stealth one shot but it's on a longer cool down and is nowhere near as effective as other classes across the course of the game. A rev will +1 far better, retain better use in a team fight have better sustain, holo also is a better +1 in a gadget build.

Yeah, most players don't have a problem with power mirage. Condi mirage is frustrating as hell.

Condi mirage is far less fair in how it's built.

Staff creates far too many illusions. Axe 3 is busted and either needs a reduction in damage or a higher CD. Both weapons ambush skill is passive and annoying. You can actually run from your target while using axe ambush. The design of condi mirage just overall encourages a very toxic passive gameplay style.

The difference is that clones provide almost no power damage, yet are allowed to apply fairly heavy condition pressure.

Why? I have no clue. It is one brick in a wall of terrible decisions.

Gs ambush helps you a lot but if you face staff mirage only. Try use it vs scepter or axe mirage, this changes everything. Anyway , no. a classic Power shatter (mirage version with dueling/illusion and domi) doesn't counter a SameIQCondi mirage in a 1v1 scenario

People cried over power mirage not long ago, it brought the CS and PB nerfs.

Not a specialist but, the onlu hate I can think on power mirage is its not being a condi one. Power doest a lot of damage but they can't keep the pressure like condi and their defensive capabilities are lower as well. Power is almost underpowered compared to the other build in the meta.

Oh I have faced Scepter/Torch, Axe pistol condi mirages and teh result was the same. GS ambush is what saved me as their main condi applications come from clones. Destroy them, you reduce the effectiveness of the condi mirage by a good amount. Ive rarely had continuous issues when running my DPS Mirage build fighting condi Mirages.
