Throwing Matches is killing the game.

Pvp is dead and no one cares!If there is a hell, it'll see you there!

Gotta just enjoy unranked like i have since season 7, matches are not so win tradey since it's for fun. Sadly there is no competitive scene in gw2.

Ranked is just for the wintraders and bots now a days

I still play my 10 matches for fun and then hear the non stop map chat stories of "afks" and such almost every other game.

Just a good joke to have ranked still when it's not lol.

Just a daily reminder there is still a bot in EU that has already played over 850 matches and been mass reported and not dealt with. If this isn't addressed what makes you think throwers and afkers will?

Yeah but that's just the obvious ones, when people aren't trying to hide it. The ones that care to mask it, appear as stupid players, and you can never really tell if it's a win trade or actual stupid players.

Have not touched ranked since they made me craft for the ascended rewards again. Nothing of fun was lost.

Unranked allows for both conquest and stronghold, which allows it to be switched up for me.

Ranked has been simply an easier/faster way to get legendary armor for me for quite a few seasons ago.

Stopped caring about my rank since POF released. Especially when i realized that my placement rank was entirely dependant upon which team got the AFKer/DCer.

As an example 2 seasons ago out of my 10 placement matches, 3 had a DC in the first few min, and 2 had an AFKer who sat in spawn. Those 5 were blowout losses no matter how hard i tried. I won the other 5 matches. How am i supposed to feel about that?

Last season i had ZERO AFK/DC players and i won 8 out of my 10 placements.

Don't even bother about that. In game report is good as nothing. And ppl who open threads in forum get a warning and thread is deleted. PVP is dead since it was banned from ESL

yeah this is seriously gonna kill pvp for good. its happened in other games.@Anet you better get in gear.

Well there's nothing you can do to force players to try.

I think people think there are way more wintraders in PvP than there actually are.

Here's is the deal about pvp

The pvp team is so small that they don't have time to check the massive amount of reports are real or if ppl are just reporting each other because "he didnt played the way I want him to"

Thing is it can depend what you call " thrown match " :

• Someone afking for no reason ?
• People refusing to read chat, and who keep suiciding on middle point ?
• Matchs that should be won and turn into a lose ?

I'm again going to argue about gold division, but probably 50% of loses could be called " thrown matchs " there ( and alternatively several wins too due to opponents throwing matchs ). Also the first two points i mentionned happen way too frequently.

I wouldn't include the second and third point. It is hard to tell, but those are mostly player mistakes.

End duo queue. Don't allow f2p players to play ranked. Crackdown hard on account sharing. These measures will save ranked PvP. Do it!
