Tribute for the Devs

Dear Anet and Forum Members

Sad that the budget cuts hit lifes of so many people.Especially sad to receive the message about Gaile, Mathew and Josh. Long living members of our community and hard working devs for years.

If it is possible: Would you mind Placing a statue for as their tribute into LA?A Frog, a barefoot, whatever may suit these three best. With all the names of all dev members that sadly had to leave us.

A statue is the least ANet can do for them. A lot of very senior employees no longer work for Anet (though I do not know how many of them volunteered to leave), tons of talent was lost today, talent that cannot easily be replaced, if at all.

Sad day for the game and the people who worked on it.

I can't believe a talent like Josh Foreman was let go. What are they thinking?Matthew and Gaile will be sorely missed, as well.

If they do a tribute to Josh it should really be a rock that kills you if you jump on it, or a piece of ground that vanishes if you stand there too long.

I'm so mad over Josh leaving, he was the only dev who tried to make this game more challenging and less monotone. Plus, SAB was his project, we were already not going to see W3 and 4 for a loooong time, with him gone now it's even more less likely to ever happen.And how in the world do you fire devs that have been with the company for 15 years +/- ... Goodness how I hate NCsoft now

• ANet Ben: Change the name of Arkk in Fractal 100/CM only to "Chill Step Coder"

There is an NPC in Lions Arch that is a reference to Josh Foreman.

Honestly I teared up when I saw Gaile post her goodbye on Twitter. Made me so sad. Ben being gone too... Basically our two links to the devs are entirely gone and that is a shame in and of itself too.

I’m not worry for those talented and skilled devs they will get hired on the spot I’m sure.

Its a tragedy alright, they are out of a job, and we may be out of a game. What the heck is NCsoft thinking? Oh nvm i get it, if you dont have 5 million players you are expendable. Oh and you talented devs go to blizzard they are looking for developers for 4 diablo projects atm.

I want to see a giant frog statue..A giant foot statue..And a giant clock statue with a massive pile of broken corpses at the base..

Edit: I know the last one is morbidI've a dark sense of humor and humor is my coping mechanism when stuff gets me down.. like these layoffs have.

What if fractal Ben is secretly the wizard in the wizard tower :p

People get fired everyday. It's a sad reality and I certainly feel for the people who got fired, but a statue? They didn't die you know.

I wouldn't want a statue either, but a NPC here and there would be nice, Josh for example already has one and a few of the old devs in GW had. I personally wouldn't mind seeing Gaile's ranger with the frog pop up with maybe a daily buff.
