Perfect Fit (Hidden Achievement) - no mount allowed!

I just couldn’t believe it, when i was in the cave. I mean, is this a joke?

They implemented a new mount; they make a new achievement to sit in boxes; they put a box next to the Catmander, in which you have to sit for the achievement; they cancel your access to the mount around this box…How much do you have to drink to make this happen? Do they not play their own game?

No wonder half of their team got fired.

Now can they just take away combat in the no mount area as well around it? If they going to make it where I need to try and attempt the jump 30 times I don't want to be ganked by 2 blues who are waiting inside to kill anyone who get in there. I waited over 2hours and went back in to finally get it after they kept doing it, they were still there and killing both other servers who were trying to get in. I mean how is any of this fun? Either make it easy to get into and people can fight over it like any other place in wvw or don't make a pve achievement in a pvp area that's hard to get into. I don't care which just pick one or the other. I'm not even upset at those harassing players, this was the same issue for when the jp and the catmander tags when they first came out and still nothing as been done so they think it's ok to do that.

We’ve been hearing that WvW is supposed to be a group effort and single players being targeted is ganking so I would suggest getting a group together and complete this WvW achievement with help.

Guess the question is, is it a wvw achievement or a pve achievement in wvw since it's a pve action. While I do agree to some extent that getting a group together and taking something is part of the point of wvw. This has no impact on wvw and it's a personal achievement that doesn't affect the server, so why should someone be expected to do wvw for a pve achievement aside from it actually being in the mists? Also kinda hard to fight them when you get put in combat to jump in or get killed as you jump in or knocked out. They're not trying to fight for fighting sake, they're trying to stop people from pve content in wvw. Which I get tilted from the players but it's just bad design ultimately that needs addressing.

  • Should SMC capturing and defending not require conflict?
  • Should camps and diktats not require conflict to capture or escort?
  • Should I be able to kill other players to get the ultimate dominator acheivent if I have to worry about them fighting back?

Are those extremes? Of course. But they are in WvW for a reason. As is this part of the other achievement.

Address it by removing the achievement point. Period.

I think your confusing my argument. And another option (I'd be perfectly fine with) is removing the two wvw locations from the achievement. It's a non conflict, non capturing achievement that has zero impact on servers location or their scores. Hence me calling it a pve achievement in wvw. Either making it a full pve experience in wvw or a full wvw experience that makes the 'normal' wvw'er go there to help their server is what I am wanting because the in between state makes it messy at best right now. This has nothing to do with liking or not liking wvw, but should pve content be inside wvw and how it should be implemented if it is is the question that I'm bring forth.

The 'I don't want to wvw for an achievement' isn't the issue, If I have to fight to get to a location is one thing. If I need to do a jumping puzzle (pve) and fight (wvw) to get to a location and it has no impact on my server, why would and should my server help me? It's a conflict of interest that is being brought up for no reason.

I would say the intent of the achievement is to provide some risk which is why it’s in a WvW borderland.

If you wish that achievement, you take that risk. If the risk is too much for you to do solo, then you can get a group.. or not do it.

It is listed under competitive achievements section so the answer is obvious.

Hey, you have to compete to get the achievement. Get it? Makes it an actual achievement and not a PvE safari where you aren't actually achieving anything.
