Banners are now untargetable

Banners are now untargetable and due to this, they cannot be picked up when very close to downed/defeated ally or when directly placed on interactive NPC.Please do something with this.

I really hope all those changes you do lead somewhere. As banners now are very unfun to manage in certain situations, with lowered buffs that banners provide, it does not feel rewarding to use at all.

Banners can be now grabbed only by warrior that cast them, but that is not the issue.The issue is that to reduce cooldown by 60 seconds, warrior has to go to banner and pick it up, which is not possible if an ally died on banner or very close to it. Same applies to any interactive NPC. Previously, you could target a banner and pick it up with no problem instead of ressing/interacting.

What about when you use your Battle Standard on ally, but they have poison and dont get ressed and die right after? You cant pick the banner in that situation. Just an example.

One can learn to play around it (like not placing the standard on top of a downed ally, for the given example).

Personally I would like a QOS where the banner skill flips while in use, and you can use it to instantly destroy the banner, that way there's no need to approach + f it. Though such a flip over mechanic would have the disadvantage of hiding the banners CD, which is currently used to calculate when you need to refresh them.

Yes, let's now unintuitively place banners just beause their active usage is not done properly.What about Anet makes banners properly usable instead?Your suggestion could solve this issue (and would be probably the best solution right now for "reworked" banners overall), but it wouldn't be the "active gameplay" Anet wants it to be...So just make banners targetable again, so when there is such issue, we can just click on banner and pick it up, just like before.

I suspect that the game code classifies an object as target-able for all, or for none. So if banners can be target again, it can be done by other players than the owner. Maybe that could cause issues, may even be the reason they were made to not be targetable to begin with.

banners were far too strong and they still are... just as the warrior is. Condi war dps is far to high for the amount of support it does.!!1Warrior was taken for every boss/event in raids (no way to swap it out)... that should give you an idea just how op warrior was and still is. Further nerfs inc..
