Open world build for Berserker

Hello

I just hit this elite specialisation and have a question. Can someone request me a decent open world build? I tried open world build from metabattle (LB+sword/torch) and was playing a bit, but it feels like this build is super squishy or i am doing something wrong (second for sure). Longbow seems to be very boring and i have like 0 sustain. I am casual open world player.Should i stay in berserk or core for smooth open world playing?

Please don't eat me.

Are you feeling squishy in HoT maps or all maps? I found that HoT maps are harder if you don't look out for mob attacks and don't move and dodge properly. I know this isn't what you are asking, but it may not be an issue with the build as much as how you are playing. I personally got used to ignoring attacks and just taking all the hits to the face while leveling then got the heck stomped out of me when I got to HoT. I have since been playing more carefully and things have gotten loads easier and as a plus loads more fun and engaging since I now am much more active in combat. Sorry if this doesn't help at all.

just a quick tip for playing warrior meta build in open word.

if you are about to engage a mob/mobgroup, always start on sword/tourch and activate your "5" Skill while running to the mob(s). You can alrady switch to bow at this moment target the enemy and engage with shattering blow followed up by headbut (headbut will fill your adrenaline bar and shattering blow does some dps but most importantly grants you stability with negates the little "self daze" headbut would gave you otherwise). So after your adrenaline bar is full you can/should activate your berserker mode and then follow up with your "F1" skill. After you casted the "F1" you want to quickly press your healing skill "blood reconing" (i think its called this was, currently uninstalled, sry) this will not only fill your adrenaline bar again, your "f1" skill will be available instantly--->PRESS IT! you will also get healed for x-sec. of time for x% dmg done. (you are a god in this few seconds basicly). On normal mobs the fight should be over at this point already if you are wearing meta stats, and you could watch the enemy bleed/burn to death. (everything i wrote takes 4-5sec ish to perform) If not....continue to autoatack with your bow to fill your adrenaline bar and get as much "f1" skills out in the berserker mode as possible. then change back to sword/tourch, just do autoatacks and activate your "5" skill whenever possible and return to Bow when you are able to activate berserker again and repeat those little stepps (you can forget headbut at this point, is ok only using it as opener) Its also easier to fight a mob if you stand close to it, even/especially if you are on bow.

some minor thingsif you are running out of dodges, you can also block "big attacks" with "shattering blow" or interupt the enemy with headbut.if you are 2 or more enemies at the same time, try to place your bow "f1"s so that you hit as many as possible.try to only use your healing skill to refresh bow f1, its worth waiting one more second when you then can press it in berserker form (--> almost quaranteed 100% hp heal)if you use skills like "for great justice" obviusly activate it before the fight.generally speaking for gw2. offense is the best defense, the faster you are able to kill an enemy the less damage it can do to you. (defensive stats scale very bad compared to offensive ones)

that should do it for open world.obviously you can go with the "real" meta rotation aswell, but for most of the open world casual content its overkill.

if you still have problem, you can always try another build metabattle, i think "nike" is doing a series for openworld build atm on youtube, or find somthing that suits your best.

I have another question. Can i fill auto from bow with skills 2-5 or it is wasting time?

if you mean adrenaline, yes you can, bow 5 and 2 are a good dps skills, and you could/should use them on cooldown, totaly forgot that in my list, sry. but for the other skills, i should be better to just autoatack. same for sword btw. only usefull skills are autotack, 5,4 and if your enemy is below 50% you can also start to use sword 3... but 2 is a waste unless you want to quickly jump to the next enemy. but dont overthink it, fight should not last so long that you would have to press a lot of other skills.

drop berserker completely. Play core power warrior if you really want to play warrior. Then use str/def/disc traitlines. axe/axe and greatsword. take bullcharge for some cc and the rest is up to you. take marauder stats if you still feel to squish.

there is no point in taking the raid/fractal condi warrior build into open world where every mob dies twice as fast from power damage. Because warrior can't "condibomb" frequently or at all you need a "long" time to stack condis on enemys.

There is no reason to take berserker for open world at all because you'll deal less dps than core everywhere except maybe on some open world bosses.

I don't min-max at all and my builds are suboptimal.

I never really liked condi zerker and play Berzerker specialization solely because it's really cool to F2 into the quickness and use the modified F1 skills.http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vJAQNAR3ZnMdAlki9dAeeAEliFtADJAMAGdKzgT3L4Nz+ZLtA-jRCCABXcBAGTJIAHEAKOCA2/AAiZ/BqU+Fp6PCq7hMAmjB-eI set it up so that I'll have to constantly weapon swap to gain the benefits of the sigils, and I don't have passive stability so I'll have to dodge correctly, or use the really short stunbreaks and keep track of Rousing Resilience. You can Headbutt into any of your stunbreaks, you can pop Signet of Fury into a 3-bar normal F1 to activate the full Adrenal Health regeneration.Even in full Berzerker armor, unless you're diving into a fight with everything on CD, it's really hard to die.I use it everywhere, fighting champions or farming in the Silverwastes.Switch up your weapons, try Mainhand Mace, Offhand Shield with trait etc.

If I need more dodges or to get the most out of my Greatsword, I use a Core build instead.http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vJAQNAR3ejMdQXHW5BeeApIGICK9Lm+tAPhX45tAIC6ZA-jBCHABDcBAcT3TH7P8kSQxfAAAcEA6T9HgU+RGAzxA-eYou can swap utilities, use Mending, Bull's Charge, Signet of Stamina etc.Swap out Rousing for Cleansing Ire if it's a fight with constant condition application, don't forget you have Brawler's Recovery to remove a condition every weapon swap. Use that and Mending first before thinking about the trait switch.
