SAB: hidden rooms

How do I open a hidden room like the one in World 1 Zone 1 by the waterfall, right at the start? Do I need to use one of the chest keys?

The bomb skill. It's available in the Kingdom of Fungus (W1Z3)

Edit: Sorry, your link suggests that you have to buy it. How can I use it in another zone than the one where I bought it, though?
